DIRECTIONS FOR COMPETITORS AND CARETAKERSGeneral:Competitors, caretakers and personnel are to obey the rules and stipulations of theInternational Cycling Union (UCI) and of the Finnish Cycling Union (SPU) and the law andstatutes, as well as the directions given for the present competition. Competitors that havea licence will act on their own responsibility and will be responsible for all the damagesthey possibly cause. The organizers will try and ensure the safety of the competition, butthe competitors will be responsible for any possible accidents with other traffic. Thecompetitors will answer for their own insurances. The organizer will not be responsible forany accidents a competitor may be met with or may cause him/herself. The organizer hasgot a joint action responsibility and accident insurance of sports organizations to cover forany damages or accidents that might result from unintentional mistakes or negligence onthe part of the organizer. Competitors with a licence will be under the doping rules andother rules and stipulations set by the International Olympic Committee, InternationalCycling Union, Finnish Cycling Union and National Anti-Doping Committee. They will beexpected to act and behave restrainedly and morally and ethically acceptably.Competition office:The competition office Lappiahalli will be opened on Friday 3 July 2009 at 3 pm, onSaturday 4 July at 10.30 am and on Sunday 5 July at 8.30 am.Competition numbers:Each sports club will collect all their competition numbers from the competition office. Thesame numbers will be used on each competition day. One number will be fastened in allcompetitions on the seam on the right side and another on the pocket on the right hip.The numbers must not to be bent or damaged. The numbers must be visible during all thecompetition. If the number has been badly or carelessly fastened, the competitor may bedisqualified. The numbers must be returned to the finish area or to the competition officeafter the competition. Should a competitor drop out of the race, the numbers must be
