Marketing and Use of <strong>Ecotourism</strong> <strong>Australia</strong>’s <strong>Certification</strong> <strong>Logo</strong>sThe Climate Action and Respecting Our Culture logos may only be used for businesses thathave been certified through these programs. The logo may be used on the businesses website, brochureor other marketing collateral.At no stage shall a business infer that a parent, sister or subsidiary company is certified unless anapplication has been approved for each business – or all businesses as a whole.The <strong>ECO</strong> <strong>Certification</strong> logo may be located only alongside products that have gained certification. Ifthe certification logo is used on the front cover of a brochure/website containing both certified and noncertifiedproducts, the logo must always be accompanied by an asterisk and the following statement:“* this symbol denotes products that have gained certification under the <strong>ECO</strong> <strong>Certification</strong> Program.”In the case of visual electronic media (e.g. television), the <strong>ECO</strong> <strong>Certification</strong> logo may be identified onlyalongside certified products. Operators must not imply that all products are equally certified if that is notthe case. In the case of audio electronic media (e.g. radio), certified products may be identified, but theaudio script must not imply that all products promoted are certified.If products are not certified at the same level, the certification logo of the lowest level may be displayed onthe front cover with an asterisk and a statement “*this symbol denotes products that have gainedcertification under the <strong>ECO</strong> <strong>Certification</strong> Program”. Alternatively, the generic <strong>ECO</strong> Certified tourism logobelow may be used where there are multiple levels of certification achieved. The appropriate level logomay be displayed alongside relevant products.The Eco<strong>Guide</strong> logo may be used to advertise that products always use the services of an Eco<strong>Guide</strong>. Inthe case where not all guides are certified Eco<strong>Guide</strong>s, there must be no inferring that all tours areconducted by certified Eco<strong>Guide</strong>s. In this instance the logo must be accompanies by an asterisk with thefollowing statement: “*not all tours are conducted by certified Eco<strong>Guide</strong>s”<strong>ECO</strong> and ROC Certified businesses are also welcome to display the Business Accreditation Tick.Because this part of the accreditation is business specific, you can include this logo anywhere in yourmarketing material.
