Using social network-organization theory outlined by Howard Rheingold inSmart Mobs: The Next Social Revolution (2002) and Manuel Castells’s The Rise of theNetwork Society (1996), I argue that traces of post-modern network organizing are foundin the Yippies’ organization of their own revolutionary action-theater.
