The program offers classes that are both serious and fun, andprovides the opportunity to meet new friends, broaden a scope of interest, learn newcrafts, and share knowledge with others.Memberships in COA are only $50 per term and participants may enroll in as many classesas they choose during that term. Registrations for the fall term are due by September 13.This fall the Homestead’s COA will include Yoga for Seniors, Meet Your Local Authors,Morning Stretch and Tone, Major World Religions, Cooking Light, Macramé, Hiking, TaiChi, Plant and Tree Identification, Herbs and Their Many Uses, Basket Making, Kayaking101, Silk Scarf Painting, and much more. Class schedules are available at the ReynoldsHomestead, online at www.reynoldshomestead.vt.edu, or by calling 276-694-7181.The 38th Annual J.E.B. Stuart Art Showopens to the public on Tuesday,September 3 and runs throughWednesday, October 30. Open to adultand student artists in Patrick, Surry,Stokes, Henry, Franklin, Floyd andPatrick counties, this judged exhibitionfeatures the work of the very bestartists in the area. Entries in oil, acrylic,watercolor, drawing, pastel,photography, wood and pottery, fiberand jewelry, and sculpture will be ondisplay. Over $2,500 in prizes will begiven at the awards ceremony andopening reception on Friday,September 6 at 6:00 p.m.The Homestead Postcard Club willfeature “Dogs” in its monthlyexhibition.NOW TAKING CARDSThe Reynolds Homestead is now able totake credit and debit cards in personfor payment for rentals, events, classesand other programs.
