This refrigeratoris not intended for use by persons (including children)with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they havebeen given supervision or instruction concerning theuse of the appliance by a person responsible for theirsafety. This refrigerator is not designed for use within1m or above a water source. It is important that youread, understand and follow these instructions verycarefully. They are designed for the safety of yourselfand others ensuring a long and trouble free service lifefrom your refrigerator. This electric refrigerator complieswith Australian and International standards and safetyrequirements. Repairs should only be carried out byqualified persons using original spare parts. Failure to doso may result in considerable danger to the operator.Safe OperationBeware of Children and PetsChildren should not be allowed to touch or operaterefrigerators or touch extension cords, if used. Allrefrigerators should be kept out of reach of children,preferably stored or locked in a secure room when notin use.Do Not Abuse the Power CordNever yank or pull on the power cord to disconnect itfrom the mains supply socket. Never carry or move yourrefrigerator by it’s power cord. Keep the power cordaway from heat, oil, solvents and sharp edges. Check thepower cord regularly for any damage and if the powercord becomes damaged have it replaced by an authorisedservice facility.Extension Cords and ReelsThis refrigerator is NOT designed to run off an extensioncord. If you require an additional power point please haveone installed by a qualified electrician.The use of extension cords may cause power voltageloss which will result in damage to the motor this willNOT be covered under warranty.For your safetyNOTE: If using the refrigerator outside in an alfresco area ensure that it is directly connected to an outdoorspower point.The electrical system of this refrigerator must be connected with an automatic 30mA circuit breaker and/or residual current device (RCD). Do not place withinone metre (1m) of any water source.Fire risk exists if this refrigerator is covered by orpositioned close to curtains or other combustiblematerials.• This refrigerator is intended for domestic/household use only.• DO NOT use this refrigerator in either thebathroom or ensuite.• DO NOT use a 3rd party timer, orprogrammable system with this refrigerator.• DO NOT clean the refrigerator while therefrigerator is on or plugged into the mainspower supply.• DO NOT attempt to modify the refrigerator,power cord, power plug or the suppliedaccessories in any way.• DO NOT expose the refrigerator to rain,water, or use in damp wet conditions.• NEVER use with the power cord coiled,bundled up or tied up. WARNING• When you dispose of your old refrigeratorsand freezers, remove any doors. Children cansuffocate if they get trapped inside.• This appliance contains insulation formedwith flammable blowing gases. Avoidsafety hazards by carefully disposing ofthis appliance.• The appliance must be plugged into itsown dedicated 220-240V, 50Hz ACelectrical outlet.• Ensure that the electric outlet is properlyearthed to ground. Consult a qualifiedelectrician if you are unsure.• Do not use an extension cord oradaptor plug.• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.• Never unplug the appliance by pulling onthe power cord. Always grip the plugfirmly, and pull straight out of thereceptacle to prevent damaging thepower cord.• Chose a location that is not too cold - thetemperature should be above 10 o C.• Put the appliance in a dry place, avoidingareas of high moisture or humidity.• Don’t put the appliance in direct sunlight.• Don’t put the appliance near stoves, firesor heaters.• The appliance shall not be exposed to rain.• Keep ventilation openings, in theappliance enclosure or in the built-instructure, clear of obstruction. Do notuse mechanical devices or other meansto accelerate the defrosting process.Do not use electrical appliance insidethe food storage compartments of theappliance.• If power cord is damaged, it must bereplaced by the manufacturer or itsservice agent or a similarly qualifiedperson in order to avoid a hazard.• This refrigerator is designed to beplugged into a R.C.D. circuit.Protection from MoistureAvoiding placing the refrigerator in a place where heavymoisture is present so as to minimise possibility of rustingof metal parts. The refrigerator should be kept out of wateror direct sprayed water, failure to do this could cause poorperformance and/or an electrical short could occur.Protection from HeatThe refrigerator should be protected from excessive heatsources and out of direct sunlight.MovingWhen fixed or moved, the refrigerator cannot be sethorizontally or reclined to more than 45° or positionedupside down.Never move while refrigerator is plugged in and operating.PositioningEnsure the sides and rear have at least 10mm clearance toensure adequate ventilation. Never cover the sides as thiswill overheat the unit and cause it not to operate.Never cover the bottom front grill as this is also required forventilation.After installation the appliance should be left for 2 hoursbefore it is switched on in order to allow the refrigerant tosettle.5


Electrical DataIMPORTANTThis product is fitted with a sealed electrical connection plug that is compatible with the fridge, the mains supply forAustralia and meets the requirements of international standards. This fridge must be connected to a supply voltagethat is equal to that stated on the rating label. If the mains connection plug or power cord becomes damaged it mustbe replaced with a complete assembly that is identical to the original, and this must be replaced by an authorisedservice centre. Always follow the Australian requirements for connection to the mains supply. If in doubt alwaysconsult a qualified electrician.USING YOUR REFRIGERATORTemperature Control• The first time you turn the unit on, set thetemperature control to position “Max”.• The settings of the temperature control are“Min, Mid, Max”. After 20 minutes, adjust thetemperature control setting to “Max”. The setting of“Max” should be correct for home or office use.• To turn the refrigerator off, turn the temperaturecontrol to “Min”.Note• Turning the temperature control to “Min” positionstops the cooling cycle, but does not shut off thepower to the refrigerator.• If the unit is unplugged, turned off or power islost you must wait 3 to 5 minutes beforerestarting the unit. If you attempt to restartbefore this time delay, the refrigerator willnot start and may damage the compressor.internal lightTo turn light on use switch, right top on ‘I’ and off ‘O’. Itis recommended that the switch be turned on only whenrequired.To Replace LightNote: Ensure refrigerator is turned off and the powerlead disconnected from the power point.1. Fridge off2. Remove screws and clear plastic cover3. Twist fluorescent tube out of holder4. Fit new fluorescent tube5. Fit clear plastic cover using screws, tighten6. Turn fridge on6


MAINTENANCE• The refrigerator should be cleaned and maintainedonce a month with a soft clean cloth.• When performing maintenance, make absolutelysure that the power plug is first disconnected from thepower outlet.• Wipe the inner and outer surface of therefrigerator and its accessories with soft clean wetcloth. If they are too dirty, scrub them with neutraldetergent, and then clean them with water anddry them with a clean cloth.• Never use hot water, petrol, alcohol, kerosene,abrasive powder, alkaline detergent, acid, ovencleaners, etc. These could damage the lacquerfinish and plastics.• If the plastic parts in refrigerator becomecontaminated by oil (animal or vegetable), theycould become brittle and possibly cracked.TROUBLE SHOOTING1. When the refrigerator does not work:Check if there is a power failure.Check if the power plug is plugged into thepower outlet.Check that the R.C.D. has not been tripped.2. When the refrigerator is cooling excessively:The temperature control dial may be set too high. Ifyou place drinks containing a lot of moisture directlyunder the cool air outlets they may freeze. This doesnot indicate a malfunction.3. When the refrigerator is not cooling sufficiently:The drinks may be packed too tightly together whichwill block the flow of cool air. You may have putsomething hot or a lot of drinks into the refrigerator.The door may not have closed properly. There may beinsufficient clearance between the refrigerator and theother surfaces, both sides and above. The temperaturecontrol dial may not be set low enough.4. When condensation forms on the outside of therefrigerator:Condensation may form on the outside when thehumidity is high. This is the same result as thecondensation formed when chilled water is pouredinto a glass. It does not indicate a malfunction. Wipedry with a cloth.5. When you hear a sound like water flowing:A sound like water flowing is the refrigerant flowing. Itdoes not indicate a malfunction.6. When the cabinets side panel heats up:The side panel of the cabinet will heat up when thedoor is opened and closed frequently, when startingthe unit and when the unit operates in summer withhigh ambient outside temperature. Do not touch theside panel, it is a result of heat from inside the cabinet.It does not indicate a malfunction.CAUTION• Never lick icy drinks when they first come out of the fridge.This can freeze burn your lips and mouth.• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by professional electrician. The cord must be replaced witha cord of the same specification.• Before you throw away your old refrigerator, take off the door, leave the shelves in place, so that children maynot easily climb inside.• Never allow children to operate, play with or crawl inside the appliance.• This refrigerator is not designed for perishable foods. It is a drinks refrigerator.7
