Focus on client
relationships
HMC is a reliable, privately-owned business that builds long-term
relationships with its clients. We have a solid reputation for solving
seemingly impossible challenges and delivering on our promises.
As an international contractor we work closely with operators
to develop optimal solutions that meet their global project needs
and demands. By combining ingenuity with a unique fleet,
we improve our competitiveness and the economic feasibility
of field developments.
Where local content is a success driver, we work closely with oil
companies to make sustainable contributions to the economies
of the regions in which we operate. We conduct ourselves with
fairness, honesty, integrity and respect.
Six decades of pioneering with many industry firsts.
Supporting the rise of the offshore oil and gas industry.
Pushing developments to depths of 3,000 meter.
Continuously providing effective can-do technologies.
Subsea infrastructure, risers and pipelines
We design, procure, construct, install and test infrastructure for
field development in depths of up to 3,000 meters. This includes
mooring lines, infield flowlines, in-line structures, risers, subsea
structures and export pipelines. We push the boundaries of what
is technically possible and develop smarter and optimal solutions.
Fixed and floating facilities
HMC has unsurpassed expertise installing a wide range of
platforms at sea. We can lift virtually any offshore structure
in a safe, fast and cost-effective manner. Our dual crane vessels
can install integrated decks and their semi-submersible hull
reduces weather downtime.
Our multitasking crane vessels haven proven their ability
to effectively install fixed and floating facilities in shallow,
deep and ultra deep water. Over the past decades we have built
an unrivaled track record of installing Platforms, Compliant Towers,
TLPs, Spars, Semis and FPSOs.
Float-over installations
Float-overs can be performed by our unique barges and a wide
range of ancillary fendering/ mooring equipment and docking
systems. Our methods enable topside installations beyond our
available crane vessel capacity and are an attractive alternative for
remote geographical areas. We have an unsurpassed track record
of such installations.
Offshore decommissioning and removing platforms
We remove platforms in a safe, environmentally friendly and
cost-effective way. Our services include engineering, offshore
preparation, removal and onshore disposal/recycling of redundant
facilities. HMC works with other contractors to develop and apply
innovative subsea cutting equipment and other techniques to
ensure diverless removal of substructures.
Innovative and
total solution
By listening to our clients and working with suppliers we have developed innovative removal
methods, new vessel types and novel subsea construction methods. This breakthrough work
is reflected in the 60-plus records we hold. Among these are the world’s deepest driven pile,
deepest installed pipeline, heaviest topside lift and deepest mooring piles.
HMC also offers overall management of major offshore EPIC projects. We have established
good working relationships with many international fabricators, one of them being our sister
company Heerema Fabrication Group. Together we can manage the entire supply chain of
offshore construction, from design through to completion.
Passionate people,
superb execution
HMC staff are passionate people with a strong drive to deliver. We are proud of what we do.
Our international playing field is reflected in a multi-cultural organization promoting
teamwork at site with all stakeholders. We take care of each other and our surroundings:
personal safety and environmental stewardship guide our behavior.
Quality, the environment, safety and health are an integral part of our organization,
culture and operations. As a result, our safety record is one of the best in the industry.
We continuously invest in the development of our people, which in return improve the quality
of our services. In addition, we develop new expertise required in our specialized industry.
Versatile fleet,
high-tech equipment
HMC uses decades of experience in planning and logistics to
seamlessly operate a versatile fleet with advanced equipment
in all of the world’s seas.
We are proud to own three of the world’s four largest semisubmersible
crane vessels, the Thialf, Hermod and Balder.
Their superior capacity, capability and large deck area enables
them to deliver the most effective and efficient field
development solutions. Being semi-submersible gives
them superior motion behavior and workability,
resulting in save and swift offshore operations.
The Thialf’s and Balder’s dynamic positioning system provides
an edge in deepwater construction and heavy lifting, especially
when complex subsea infrastructures are involved. As a result,
both have an unsurpassed track record of deepwater installation
of foundations, moorings, SPARs, TLPs and integrated topsides.
In addition, Balder’s J-lay equipment can lay pipelines up to a ultra
deep water depth of 3,000 meters.
HMC also operates a fleet of anchor-handling tugs and cargo/
launch barges. Our H-851 is the world’s largest transportation
and float-over barge.
