Hrvatski će pjevači potom, uz povremenu elektroničku nadopunu,izvesti još četiri djela odabrana na natječaju ISCM-a.Ciklus glazbeno-scenskih praizvedbi hrvatskih autora nastavlja se ‘elektroničkim’baletom My Name is Nobody skladatelja Frana Đurovića i koreografa Maxa Volpinija.To je “predstava o moći koju ljudi imaju nad drugim ljudima te o slabostipsihe (…) putovanje kroz distorziranu duhovnost grupe ljudi koju vodi snažan ikarizmatični vođa”, kaže koreograf. Autori naglašavaju da su iznimno zadovoljnimeđusobnom suradnjom, a petero plesača za varaždinsku predstavu odabrano jena posebnoj audiciji. Javna je generalna proba prije deset dana požnjela izvrsnereakcije publike.I u noćnom će terminu publiku dočekati kombinacija plesa i elektronike: jedan odnajcjenjenijih alternativnih elektroničara današnjice, Christian Fennesz, koji jegostovao na <strong>MBZ</strong>-u 2007., udružit će se s plesačicom Ceciliom Bengoleom. Cecilia BengoleaChristian FenneszThe series of premieres of stage works will continue with the ‘electronic’ balletMy Name is Nobody by the composer Frano Đurović and choreographer Max Volpini.It’s “a show about the power of men over other men and the weakness of thepsyche (…) a journey through a distorted spirituality of a group of people led bya strong and charismatic man”, in the words of the choreographer. The authorsstress that they are very satisfied with their collaboration, and the five dancerswere hand-picked at an audition. Their dress rehearsal ten days ago was open forpublic and received excellent reactions from the audience.The late <strong>MBZ</strong> slot will also feature a combination of dance and electronics: one ofthe most highly esteemed authors of alternative electronic music today, ChristianFennesz, who also performed at the 2007 <strong>MBZ</strong>, will join forces with the dancerand choreographer Cecilia Bengolea. There are three dance-musicperformances (April 11-13) as well as aregular concert by the syncretic ensembleZeitkratzer in the small hall of theVatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall (Thursday,April 14). Christian Fennesz, therenowned Viennese expert for electronicguitar and electronic, who was a part ofthe underground scene in the eighties,and a popular techno DJ in the nineties,has given significant place to melody inhis own pieces at the time when his colleagueshad tended to negate basic musicalcomponents. Zahvaljujem umjetničkom direktoru <strong>MBZ</strong>-a BerislavuŠipušu što me povezao s Massimilijanom Volpinijem, višegodišnjim plesačem umilanskoj Scali i vrhunskim koreografom. Obojicu nas je prethodno poznavao ipretpostavljao da ćemo se dobro složiti u radu. Volpini je nevjerojatno smiren,zna što hoće i vrlo je konkretan. Premda je ovo najjeftiniji projekt od pet glazbeno-scenskihprojekata ovogodišnjeg <strong>MBZ</strong>-a, jer uključuje kompletno elektroničkuglazbu i samo petoro plesača, to me ni najmanje ne smeta. Naprotiv, sretan samjer imamo više prilike češće izvoditi predstavu i gostovati s njom po drugim kazalištima.Balet je neverbalna umjetnost i mnoge se stvari u njemu mogu različitotumačiti. Koncept se temelji na ideji da su ljudi po svojoj prirodi krhki i podložnida ih netko vodi, teško ostvaruju svoju slobodu. To kroz balet svatko može shvatitina svoj način, ne želimo nikome “soliti pamet”. Kad smo se koreograf i ja prije godinudana upoznali, dao sam mu svojih 13 CD-ova glazbe pisane za razne prigode,sve je detaljno preslušao i prostudirao, rekao što mu se sviđa i što bi želio imati ubaletu. Tako smo počeli, ulomke sam mu slao e-mailom, a on bi nešto prihvatio,a nešto odbacio. Kada je netko tako normalan i logičan, pristajem na ustupke,priznajem da sam ih učinio kako bih išao na ruku plesačima, ali nije mi važno. Napretjerano apstraktnu glazbu se ne može plesati, plesači uvijek broje svoje korakeu metru na osam doba, ovdje sam im čak ubacio nekoliko nepravilnih mjera, alinisu se žalili. Prvih je pola sata glazba malo “teža”, ali je zato drugih pola satapuno pitkija, tako da neće biti zamorno. I wish to thank the artisticdirector of the <strong>MBZ</strong>, Berislav Šipuš, for linking me with Massimiliano Volpini, whodanced at Milan’s La Scala for several years and is nowadays a renowned choreographer.He has known both of us and thought that we could work together. Massimilianois incredibly calm, knows what he wants and is very specific. Although thisproject consists entirely of electronic music and only five dancers – and thereforehas the lowest budget of all five stage music works coproduced by the <strong>MBZ</strong> andthe Croatian National Theaters – I am not bothered by it at all. Quite the contrary,I am happy as we will have more opportunities to stage the ballet and give guestperformances at other theaters.
