1948-5190, DOI: 10.4253), is a monthly, open-access, peer-reviewed journal supported<br />
by an editorial board <strong>of</strong> 400 experts in gastrointestinal endoscopy from 45 countries.<br />
The major task <strong>of</strong> WJGE is to report rapidly the most recent results in basic<br />
and clinical research on gastrointestinal endoscopy including: gastroscopy, intestinal<br />
endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, laparoscopy, interventional diagnosis and<br />
therapy, as well as advances in technology. Emphasis is placed on the clinical practice<br />
<strong>of</strong> treating gastrointestinal diseases with or under endoscopy. Papers on advances and<br />
application <strong>of</strong> endoscopy-associated techniques, such as endoscopic ultrasonography,<br />
endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic submucosal dissection<br />
and endoscopic balloon dilation are also welcome.<br />
