<strong>Spears</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong>organizationsThere are more than 20 student organizations associated withthe <strong>Spears</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong>. Many <strong>of</strong> these are specificallyrelated to the majors, while others are honor societies. Eachhas a designated faculty member serving as an advisor as wellas elected student <strong>of</strong>ficers within the club. PickeringForeign Affairs Fellowship. The fellowship prepares students for acareer in the U.S. State Department’s Foreign Service.“I’m so excited,” said Ensley. “The fellowship is typically awarded tostudents from Ivy League schools like Harvard, Yale and Princeton,and I am blessed to have been selected and represent OklahomaState University.”Ensley will participate in two internships for the StateDepartment and attend The Public Policy Institute. Thefellowship will pay for his final two years <strong>of</strong> undergraduatestudies plus two years <strong>of</strong> graduate school. It also willguarantee Ensley a four-year position as a ForeignService <strong>of</strong>ficer with the U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Stateafter he finishes graduate school.“A career in the Foreign Service is somethingI’ve always dreamed about, and now I haveall the resources to make my dream a reality,”Ensley says.ScholarshipsEach year, the <strong>Spears</strong> <strong>School</strong> grants more than 275 individualscholarships totalling around $500,000 to undergraduateand graduate students.
