<strong>Frederica</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>’s <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Programs</strong> are offered on a weekly basis and are designed withyour child’s interests in mind. Courses are separated by grade and then listed in chronologicalorder. Due to a specific, rigorous curriculum or design, age parameters are listed with eachdescription. Most programs begin at 9:00 am and end at Noon each day; however times mayvary due to program requirements. Please see individual listings for details.Should you need care for your child until 1 pm, participants may bring their lunch and joinus for the Lunch Bunch for an additional fee of $15 each week. This was a popular choicelast year! We want to continue to offer this convenient, affordable and fun option for youand your children. Quick & Easy Registration:Registration will open on March 27, 2013. Locate your programs of choice within the<strong>Summer</strong> Program listings. Then visit us online atwww.fredericaacademy.org/summerprograms to complete registration.After Registration:Immediately following registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the email addressprovided. You can also expect an email containing pertinent details prior to the beginningof your program. Should you have any questions during this time, please contact AutumnRoberts at 912.638.9981 ext. 108 or email us at summerprograms@fredericaacademy.org.Drop-off & pick-up Procedures:For your convenience, we ask that all participants report to the gym lobby to meet our<strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Programs</strong> staff. Drop-off will begin 15 minutes prior to the start of each session.Curbside pick-up will also be available for 15 minutes after the program’s conclusion. Payment Policies:Tuition for each of the 2013 <strong>Summer</strong> <strong>Programs</strong> is listed online and in our brochure. For yourconvenience, a partial payment can be paid in person at <strong>Frederica</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>.A $50 non-refundable tuition deposit per participant will apply at the time of registration.A $100 non-refundable tuition deposit per participant will apply for indicated programswhere space is limited. In the event that a refund is requested, full tuition will be reimbursed,less the non-refundable deposit. Should a program minimum not make, participants will benotified in a timely manner and receive a complete refund.Registrations will be accepted until programs are full. If required, registrants will be waitlistedin the order received. LOWER SCHOOL PROGRAMS


Opti I <strong>Summer</strong> SailingAges: 5 and 6Dates: June 3rd – June 7th & July 15th – July 19thTime: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PMOpti I is an introduction to sailing and is designed to enhance comfort around water. Theprogram begins around the dock, allowing sailors to become acquainted with boat and safetyrules. Once acclimated, the class will learn how to steer a boat, pull in the sail, and determinewind direction. Participants will then progress to deeper water and sailing around marks.Games and activities are incorporated to keep learning fun. Life jackets will be worn at alltimes around water. Participants will meet on campus and then travel to the BrunswickLanding Marina for instruction.
