The Creche of St. Vincent is one of thoseinstitutions in which my adopted parents supported and in which two children were adopted and inwhich I was one of them. The Creche St. Vincent in Beirut Lebanon has served for over 80 years as a safe haven forunwanted children. Creche St. Vincent was a refuge of dedication, compassion, giving and love aboveall things, for all those who had been abandoned.Tommy & NormaArriving Miami from LebanonThe Anthony R. june 30,2015On this trip to Beirut Lebanon they decide to visit Creche St. Vincent an orphanage where theyhappened to fall in love with two little orphans whom did not give up in trying to convince these newvisitors they should take them back to America. With three adopted childrenalready back at home inSouth Florida the decision totake two more children backto America wasn’t thatdifficult especially since thechildren had already stolentheir hearts.Five Adopted ChildrenMarion,Norma, Judy,Tommy, GeorgeWithout the spirit andheart of these two amazinghuman beings and the faithand love of their Lebaneseheritage my adopted sisterand I would not be here today toshare with you this story.Norma & TommyComing back to Creche St. Vincent in Beirut was an emotionally fulfilling and spirituallyenlightening. Having the opportunity to look in the eyes of all those young children and realize that Iwas one of those children who happen to be chosen and given a great opportunity to start a new life inAmerica. The most rewarding aspect of coming back to the orphanage was to visit with Sister Josephewho was at the orphanage the day that I arrived as a one dayold baby.Sister Joseph- Thomas AbrahamThis was only the thirdtime in my life that Ihad an opportunity tovisit with SisterJosephe who was trulymoved by having theopportunity to spendt i m e w i t h m eshowcasing the catalogof pictures and lettersshe preserved over theyears.INSIDERThe Voice of Anthony R. june 30,2015Sister Josephe was so proud of the letters receivedfrom my father and mother over the years andespecially having the opportunity to watch my sisterand I grow up through the photographs and letter’swe sent.Creche St. Vincent and Sister Josephe arethe pillars in which I base my foundation to alwaysremember where I came from and how blessed Ihave been to reach the shores of America to havebeen raised by such beautiful parents who trulyloved us as their own. My mother and father alwaysstated that family, church, country, and heritagewere the most important things in life and that wehave to learn to love, respect and to protect them atall cost. Both my sister and I are two of those individualsabandon that were left to feel hopeless andforgotten. But, God had other plans for us and left us in the hands of the Angels at Creche St. Vincentespecially Sister Josephe until the guardianangles God had selected on earth came toprovided us a new beginning in America. Howcan we ever forget the blessings that wereshowered upon us and the responsibilities wehave in giving comfort, love, and support to allthose who feel hopeless and in need. The Anthony R. Abraham Foundation hopes thatin a very small way that we will have theopportunity to continue to make a difference inthe lives of those individuals we have noknowledge but provide the tools to thosecharitable institutions who can make adifference to empower the lives of those wesupport through our mission. So one smallgesture of true love and compassion made amajor impact on two little children, I know Iwas one of them. It only takes one small gesture of Compassion, Love and Support to bring Hope tothe Forgotten.Thomas AbrahamChairman of Anthony R. Abraham FoundationINSIDERThe Voice of Anthony R.
