The PASCAL ChronicleMessage from the President of the Central Pupil Council,Maria Hadjigeorgiou 6IBThe truth is that being elected as the President of the Central Pupil Council this year,was one of my greatest experiences. I feel the need to thank not only all the membersof the Central Pupil Council as well as all the Year 6 students for their supportand consistency but also all the teaching staff for helping us in handling ourtasks. Besides working with the council members, throughout the year, I also had towork with a very collaborative Year 6 group, full of energy and the will to produce results.I feel extremely proud of the work that has been produced this year, and so Iwould like to congratulate everyone who has been involved in it.Of course being the President has occupied a strenuous amount of my studying-time but it was absolutelyworth it as it has taught me valuable life lessons. At this moment, I am convinced that one's strengths andabilities can be infinitely developed, even if he/she doesn't perceive the process. I wish everyone the bestBeing a Prefect….Since the beginning of the new academic year 2011-2012, many events have taken place. One of the mostexciting was the appointment of the new school Prefects. Every year in our school, students from Years 5and 6 are chosen for the prestigious position of Prefect. The position of Prefect plays a vital role in the student‘spersonal development. Being a Prefect makes you realize that you should be responsible for everytask you do and aware of what is happening around you. Our duty is to maintain discipline in the schoolyard,help all students and solve any disputes between them so that they display appropriate behaviourduring breaks. We are also responsible for the organization of many events and for setting a good examplefor the other students to follow. As Prefects, we tried our best to carry out all the responsibilities that theschool required of us. The cooperation of all Prefects was excellent and this led to effective results.
