In this respect, we can also take into account the school’s ‘hidden curriculum’,a term that refers to the values, habits, opinions and ideologies present in the school,which have an impact on the students.In this way, teachers will be able to successfully establish policies on peace and heritageeducation within the school. Peace and heritage education then becomes a transversalor pan-curricular framework which runs throughout the different classes and interdisciplinaryorganizations. This common peace curriculum makes it possible to turnchildren into citizens who are able to participate in democratic debates and are awareof social challenges.
