Unmanned Systems Purpose

Primarily used to gain situational awareness,

unmanned systems provide the DOD with a

cost-effective method for gathering Intel.

Often missions last for prolonged periods of

time, so it is not efficient to monitor them

with manned systems.

Unmanned systems are limited by the

amount of weight they can carry; therefore

small, lightweight form-factors are required

to complete successful missions. FreeWave’s

family of modular, embedded radios has been

designed to meet these requirements.
