MCH FAMILY OUTREACH Services offered through MCH Family Outreach are designed to strengthen and support families to encourage each child’s healthy development. MCH’s outreach offices across Texas and New Mexico provide support through prevention and in-home intervention programs.
METHODIST CHILDREN’S HOME • 2011-2012 ANNUAL REPORT A Message from our President Methodist Children’s Home is grateful for and honored by the support of our many benefactors and other friends. The amazing story of this ministry is possible because individuals have chosen to support our mission with their time, talents and resources. In doing so, countless children, youth and families from hard places have been offered opportunities to discover hope for a new life. Our friends and benefactors can be confident that we are working to find the highest and best use of the resources entrusted to us. I am proud of the commitment of our staff, Board of Directors and volunteers. MCH continues to be in compliance with, and in many cases to be exceeding, the best practice standards set forth by two national accrediting organizations and the established charity watchdog groups. We have accomplished many goals set forth in the strategic plan that was developed in 2011. The strategic plan is guiding our ministry as we develop the most effective and efficient programs and services for our residential, foster care and family outreach programs across Texas and New Mexico. The strategic plan also challenges our staff and leadership to make decisions today that will ensure another century of service to children, youth and families in need of hope. In doing so, MCH can increase awareness of our services, further improve our stewardship of the resources entrusted to us, better recruit a talented workforce and foster parents, and cultivate stronger relationships with benefactors who will partner with MCH to help fulfill our ever-expanding mission. Guided by our core values of Christian Principles, Relationships, Responsibility, Growth, Service and Hope, MCH is committed to providing the services, programs and talented individuals needed to positively impact the lives of the young people in our care. Our recent collaboration with Texas Christian University’s Institute of Child Development continues to place MCH on the cutting edge of child care as we learn new ways to serve children who have experienced trauma. These proven and tested techniques and methods of interacting with children are impacting families in positive ways. Our achievements in the past, and those yet to come, are directly related to our generous supporters.
