• Field days and tours of our Springwater treated CSG water
irrigated farming systems involving at least 800 people since May
2009
• Sponsoring at least 50 existing and potential leucaena producers
through the UQ managed leucaena courses
• Supporting Leucaena Network
• Undertaking industry significant R&D activities investigating:
1. water use potential of major regional forage systems including
leucaena and Rhodes with and without winter forage cropping
2. redefinition of salinity tolerance thresholds including leucaena
3. water balance of leucaena / Rhodes and other grass systems in
dryland and irrigated situations
4. Demonstrating managed, commercial leucaena systems have
negligible environmental risk
5. Demonstrating CS water irrigation has no impact on catchment
surface water and groundwater quality
