DECEMBER 1 & 2, 2012 2 DE DICIEMBRE DE 2012

In celebrating Advent, the Church invites you to meditate on the coming of our Lord. This coming is

presented in three dimensions:

The Historical Dimension of Advent: This was anxious waiting of the people for the coming of a

Savior. It began in the Old Testament and continued with the Incarnation of Jesus Christ in the New

Testament.

The Mystical Dimension of Advent: This is mankind’s moral preparation today for the Lord’s

coming. It is a present Advent. It is an appropriate time for man’s conversion and prayer as a person, as

community, as a society, accepting the salvation that comes from the Lord. Jesus is the Lord constantly

coming to man.

The Eschatological Dimension of Advent: This is the final preparation for the coming of the Lord at the end of time,

when He finally comes to crown his redemptive work. The Church invites mankind to not wait with omission or carelessness,

but with the hope that, when this happens, it will be for the eternal happiness of those who accepted Jesus as their Savior.

This celebration shows how all of time centers around Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever; Christ is the Lord

of time and History.

15 th Annual Gala

February 2, 2013

Benefiting St. Anne Catholic School

Celebrating the rich and spirited Irish heritage

within the St. Anne Catholic Community

along with the Irish traditions of faith and joy that

we all share in our hearts.

Celebrating 30 years of supporting quality Catholic education,

the St. Anne School Foundation hosts its 15 th Annual Gala on

February 2, 2013 at River Oaks Country Club. The entire St.

Anne Community is invited to participate in this communitybuilding

and fundraising event – be a donor, sponsor, attendee

and/or auction bidder!

Be Part of an Irish-inspired Irish inspired Evening

At the Gala event, more than 400 guests will enjoy an Irishinspired

evening of fun, fellowship and fundraising. The goal is

to support the nearly 500 students in grades PreK-3 through

eighth grade at St. Anne Catholic School – our parish school and

National Blue Ribbon award-winner.

IN FOCUS ENFOQUE

Help Fund the Annual Grant & Endowment

The funds from the Gala help the St. Anne School Foundation

provide a $250,000 Annual Grant to the school in support of the

operating budget for needs-based tuition assistance, faculty

continuing education, fine arts programs, classroom

enhancements and technology. For the long-term benefit of the

school, the Foundation is building an endowment to support

future needs.

Show Your Support

The Foundation again needs your support. Over the last two

years, the success of the Gala, as well as the Annual Giving

Campaign, has helped the Foundation provide more than one

million dollars of support to the school.

To find out more about donating an auction item or service from

your business, buying a Gala tribute message, being a Gala

sponsor, purchasing a table for the Gala event, and/or volunteering

for the Gala Committee, please contact the Foundation

Office at (713) 525-4300; foundation@saintanne.org. or

Images of the final judgment can be scary, but if we have been good stewards, we have left nothing to chance. We have

carefully planned our giving and followed Our Lord’s example of service and sacrifice. Thus, no matter the day or the hour we

will be ready to stand erect and raise our heads to meet God face to face.

cara a cara.

Some suggested foods that are most needed are canned
