front flying bird / / Bull standing right. Kraay, Sybaris pl. III, 9 (same die); Kraay/King pl. 4, 11 (same

Extremely rare, only one obverse die known. Beautiful, almost extremely fine specimen CHF 3´000.-

BRUTTIUM

9 LOKROI EPIZEPHYRIOI. Stater (Silver) circa 350-300 BC, Lokroi Epizephyrioi. Helmeted head of

Athena right / / Pegasos flying left, caduceus below. SNG ANS 503. 8.42 g.

Flan defect on reverse, otherwise, good very fine CHF 800.-

In classical literature this piece is often ascribed to the city of Hipponion.
