Florentine is a medium height variety with very stiff straw. It has
extremely good resistance to lodging, superior to both Retriever and
KWS Cassia. Florentine is early to mature.

Florentine is an excellent feed barley choice with no weaknesses.
Florentine offers very high treated and untreated yields, some 3%
ahead of Saffron. It has superb standing power, excellent disease
resistance and virus resistance.

Florentine shows excellent resistance to all diseases, particularly to
mildew and the economically important disease Rhynchosporium,
where it has far better resistance than all market leading varieties.
Florentine is also virus resistant, unlike Saffron. Florentine's superb all

opportunity to reduce costs on farm.
