Florentine is an excellent feed barley choice with no weaknesses.

Florentine offers very high treated and untreated yields, some 3%

ahead of Saffron. It has superb standing power, excellent disease

resistance and virus resistance.

The grain quality characteristics of Florentine, with excellent specific

weight and low screenings, make it the perfect feed variety.

Disease resistance

Florentine shows excellent resistance to all diseases, particularly to

mildew and the economically important disease Rhynchosporium,

where it has far better resistance than all market leading varieties.

Florentine is also virus resistant, unlike Saffron. Florentine's superb all

round disease and virus resistance provides the grower with an

opportunity to reduce costs on farm.
