Showing proof of residency and vehicle
ownership
If you go to register and your details are not found on the system, you might
need to show proof of residency. This will be a photocopy of one of the
following documents, showing your name and address:
– a public utility bill (for gas, electricity, water or a land line phone) issued
within the last three months;
– a rent statement issued by the Royal Borough of Greenwich or housing trust
(for the current financial year);
– a council tax statement (for last three months);
– a letter from your bank issued within the last three months;
– a tenancy agreement; or
– a benefit or pension book.
Please note: mobile phone bills will not be accepted as proof of residency.
If you have recently moved into the area, you will need:
– a legally drawn letter from the landlord or estate agent valid for the full life
of the permit; or
– a solicitors letter confirming completion.
Please note: hand written documents will not be accepted.
All documents required as evidence can be scanned in and uploaded online
at www.2012gamesparkingpermits.com. Alternatively, you can send us these
documents through the post. The address details will be provided through our
website or call centre when you get in touch to register.
Showing proof of vehicle ownership or usage
If you are a resident
To prove your vehicle ownership or usage, you will need to provide a
photocopy of one of the following documents:
– the vehicle registration document (V5C); or
– the vehicle’s insurance certificate.
