WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORT

OUR TEAM

Our Critical Care Transport Team members include:

• Critical Care Nurses

• Critical Care Respiratory Therapists

• Paramedics

• Emergency Medical Technicians

All have received advanced training in

transport medicine. Medical control physicians

oversee the team’s work. These doctors are board

certified in neonatology, perinatology, and adult

and pediatric critical care. Our transport services

are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

Each Bon Secours Critical Care Transport

ambulance is a fully equipped Mobile Intensive

Care Unit. Sophisticated monitoring devices,

ventilators and emergency medicines are

standard on all vehicles. Also available are web

cameras and electronic stethoscopes that allow

Good Help to Those in Need®

hospital-based physicians to give guidance

and feedback to an ambulance team while

a patient is on the road. Other onboard

state-of-the-art technology includes:

• GlideScopes

• Invasive hemodynamic monitoring

• Intra-aortic balloon pump therapy

using the CS300

• Noninvasive external fetal monitors

• Vasoactive medications, blood and blood

products, surfactant, and inhaled nitric oxide.

In addition, our Critical Care Transport Team

has the equipment — and the training — to

perform advanced airway procedures and

hypothermic therapies. The latter includes

induced hypothermia for post-cardiac arrest

patients and brain cooling for neonatal

and pediatric patients.

GOOD HELP TO THOSE IN NEED®

Critical Care Transport services reflect

Bon Secours’ ongoing commitment to

providing world-class care for every patient,

every time. They also show our ability to adopt

innovative technology and treatments. Always,

our goal is to create the best possible patient

results. Accordingly, our hospitals are ranked

among the nation’s best for emergency

medicine and the treatment of pediatric, stroke

and cardiac patients. You can feel confident

that when your patients are with us, they

are receiving exemplary, attentive care.
