The EASD <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> benefits ALL members in ALL musical<br />

activities. We are an all-volunteer organization that relies on the<br />

help of everyone to make the <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> a success. Please<br />

2013 Band Camp<br />

Band Chaperone–Ride on bus (travel events only) and sit in the bleachers with the band. <strong>Help</strong> with various assigned<br />

duties such as restroom supervision, distributing water, plumes and picking up trash in bleachers. Requires security<br />

clearances.<br />

Band Pit Crew—<strong>Help</strong> to load/unload the trailer for away games. <strong>Help</strong> to set up pit instruments, etc. for both home and<br />

away games. Requires moderate lifting/carrying.<br />

Stadium Clean Up – Stay after home football games to pick up trash in bleachers. Earns <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> credits.<br />

Concession Stand Worker –<strong>Help</strong> with stand set up, preparing and/or selling food and clean up stand for outdoor home<br />

football and boys’ soccer games and indoor boys'/girls' basketball games and wrestling matches. Both earn <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong><br />

credits.<br />

Band Senior Recognition Night – <strong>Help</strong> with reception for senior band students and their parents before the last home<br />

football game. Senior parents should not sign up to volunteer for this event.<br />

Band Party – <strong>Help</strong> with set up, refreshments, chaperoning and clean up. Held after the last home football game.<br />

Requires security clearances.<br />

Orchestra Pops Concert – <strong>Help</strong> with set up, decorations, refreshments and clean up. Usually held in November.<br />

<strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> Awards Banquet – <strong>Help</strong> set up and decorate cafeteria for evening to celebrate ALL students in band,<br />

chorus and orchestra. Parents and students attend. Usually held first Monday evening in May.


Fundraising – Should be available for all or a part of the time period between 1:30 and 5:00 pm to help sort and<br />

distribute products. Volunteers to coordinate/conduct a fundraiser are also needed. Fundraisers are held two to four<br />

times a year.<br />

Refreshments – Donate baked goods, snacks, drinks and/or paper products for various <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> functions.<br />

Communication – Make phone calls as needed.<br />

Carpentry/Electrical – Fix things pertaining to <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> equipment, musical set design and construction.<br />

Band Camp August 5-9, 2013– Chaperone at band camp during lunch time, help with picnic on the last day of band<br />

camp. Requires security clearances.<br />

<strong>Music</strong> <strong>Club</strong> meetings for 2013/2014 are on the following<br />

Tuesdays:<br />

September 3 rd November 5th January 7th March 11th<br />

April 8 th (Elections for coming year).<br />

All meetings are held in the Band Room at 7:30 pm. Please plan to attend!
