4. Transport of the Diesel Hammer<br />
4.3 Securing the Diesel Hammer for trailer<br />
transport<br />
The responsibility for the secure transport of the<br />
Diesel Hammer or pile driving equipment shall be<br />
assumed by the contractor or trucking company.<br />
by falling off or shifting the load during sudden<br />
breaking or steering.<br />
Unsecured or incorrectly secured equipment on<br />
transport trailers can cause deadly accidents<br />
Improperly secured heavy equipment may shift<br />
during transport causing damage.<br />
4.3.1 Securing the Diesel Hammer during transport inside the lead (provided by BAUER-Pileco)<br />
Slide the helmet and the Diesel Hammer<br />
together to the closest position<br />
Securing the position with 2 clamping plates and 4 bolts at<br />
each side of the lead behind the hammer guiding (blocks).<br />
For U-lead sections without welded on stop blocks use 4 sets of clamp plates and bolts to secure the Diesel Hammer<br />
and the helmet to the lead.<br />
4.3.2 Securing the Diesel Hammer on a trailer<br />
