Our Tongariro range gives home owners the convenience of aluminium. These doors are low maintenance and great for withstanding the extremes of New Zealand weather.
They come in two options, Thermtek and Strata, so whether coastal or inland, hot or cold conditions, a Tongariro door is a smart choice.

Door Finishes
Exclusive three-stage protective finish FOR TIMBER DOORS
We have developed a proprietary exterior finish that helps prevent the breakdown
of wood in solid timber doors from ultraviolet rays and weather. Our doors can be
finished using three separate stages of protection.
AVAILABLE IN SIGNATURE KITS
Stocked in all good hardware stores.
BASE COAT – A translucent primer coat that’s coloured to align different
timber discrepancies and bring them together tonally while allowing the wood
grain to remain visible.
SECOND COAT – A UV protector with the same product base as the
Top Coat, preventing any breakdown on the base coat.
TOP COAT – A translucent top coat with a satin sheen. This flexible coating
allows for natural movement without breaking the seal.

Warranty Plus
Parkwood offers an additional level of
assurance which includes:
• The standard door repair or replacement as
outlined in the warranty
• Plus door fitting
• Plus door finishing
• Plus re-fitting of any hardware
Warranty Plus is available for $30 per door. Please read the
terms and conditions as outlined in the ‘Warranty Document’.

Parkwood doors come with a 5-year warranty on all doors. Timber
doors are designed for use in weather-protected situations only and
the Parkwood Warranty will not be effective if the ‘care for your door’
sticker on the edge of each door is not heeded.
Parkwood’s warranty covers repair or replacement if our workmanship
is not up to ‘full’ standard. The standard that Parkwood considers
acceptable (full) applies to every door we supply
and is outlined in our separate ‘Warranty Document’.
