INVESTING FOR CATHOLICS

A CLEAR PATH FOR CATHOLIC INVESTORS

FAITH-CONSISTENT INVESTMENTS

ROOTED IN FINANCIAL SCIENCE

Investing for Catholics, a division of Index Fund Advisors, Inc.

provides Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) advice and

portfolio implementation to institutions and individuals. Our

firm was developed to meet the unique needs of Catholic

investors — investing responsibly in line with our Faith while

maximizing returns for the risks we take.

INVESTING MADE SIMPLE

Investing for Catholics (IFC) removes the need

to allocate across a dizzying list of mutual

funds. It is our objective to present a selection

of pre-allocated index portfolios which allow

participants of any risk level to achieve global

diversification with ease. Below are simplified

methods for building your portfolio:

CATHOLIC VALUES INVESTING

IFC selects globally diversified, lower-cost, Catholic

faith-consistent investments that are screened to exclude

companies that are involved in activities that run counter to

the Catholic faith, such as:

• Abortions

• Manufacture of contraceptives

• Research involving Embryonic or fetal stem cells

• For-profit healthcare providers

• Military weapons and/or weapons of mass destruction

• Tobacco or alcohol products

• Publishing or selling pornographic materials

• Gambling activities

• Child labor

IFA CATHOLIC VALUES

TARGET RETIREMENT PORTFOLIOS

INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE

The IFA Catholic Values Target Retirement

Portfolios seek to provide capital appreciation

and current income consistent with their

current asset allocations.

WHO SHOULD INVEST

• Investors seeking long-term growth of

capital and income.

• Investors seeking a simple way to

achieve a broadly diversified holding

of stocks and bonds that will gradually

become more conservative in its

allocation.

• Investors planning to retire and leave

the workforce in or within a few years

of the targeted year.

INVESTMENT STRATEGY

The models invest in a selection of mutual funds managed by Dimensional

Fund Advisors (DFA). Investing for Catholics will manage each model using

an asset allocation strategy designed for investors planning to retire and

leave the workforce in or within a few years of the named target year. The

models’ asset allocations will become more conservative over time. The

underlying funds include stock mutual funds screened for Catholic values,

real estate mutual funds, and global bond funds.

The portfolios' holdings include a diversified mix of U.S. and foreign

large-cap, mid-cap, and small-capitalization stocks. The portfolios' bond

holdings include a diversified mix of short-term and intermediate-term U.S.

government, U.S. agency, and investment-grade U.S. corporate bonds;

and government, agency, corporate, and securitized investment-grade

foreign bonds issued in currencies other than the U.S. dollar (but hedged by

Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) to minimize currency exposures).
