Joe Sabella

Giuseppe Sabella
is a self-taught artist residing in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was born on October 18, 1993 in Gainesville, Florida. He specializes in black
and white nature photography, but takes images of anything that inspires him. He
began taking photographs in 5th grade when the librarian let him use her camera
to take photos of things going on around the school. As time went on he started
using his moms Kodak, went on to purchase his own Kodak z650, and currently
owns a Nikon D40X. He became an exhibiting member artist at Arts for ACT
Gallery at the age of 12. He sold his first photograph at the age of 14. In 2008,
Sabella was honored to be the youngest exhibitor ever accepted into the Cape Coral
Festival of the Arts.
Artist Statement
“I believe that everone sees life even just a little bit differently from the next
person; photography is a way for me to show others what my reality looks like.
Every photographer has a story, and every story is different depending on whose
looking. I enjoy color photography very much, but they are too complete for me.
I prefer black and white photography because it gives the viewer a chance to really
look into the picture and fill in their own story.”

Inspirations
I am inspired by the works of Clyde Butcher; his photographs are awe inspiring
and really show the hidden treasures that Florida holds.
