Individual SEC Champions Lynn Connelly 71-72-68=211 (1981) • Became the first Lady Gator to win an SEC Championship in 1981, when she captured the title by eight strokes, the largest margin of victory in any of Florida’s SEC Championships • One of the leaders on the Florida team which also captured the championship at the inaugural SEC Women’s Golf Championships Cheryl Morley 2015-16 FLORIDA WOMEN’S GOLF 75-68-68=211 (1988) • Won the 1988 SEC title with a two-shot margin over the tournament field • Named All-SEC three times and All-America all four years of her collegiate career, becoming the first UF women’s golfer to receive All-America honors every year of her playing career • Was a member of the Lady Gator squad which captured the 1986 national championship 2015-16 SEASON COACHES Deb Richard 72-67-77=216 (1982) 74-72-71=217 (1983) 73-73-72=218 (1984) • Only Florida women’s golfer to win multiple SEC titles, winning her first in 1982 and then capturing two more in 1983 and 1984 • Recorded a four-stroke win in 1982, while she outplayed the field in 1983 by three strokes, and captured her third title in 1984, six shots ahead of the competition • Was the winner of seven tournaments in her UF career, as well as runner-up at the 1985 NCAA Championships Karen Davies 77-75-69=221 (1986) Dina Taylor 69-76-72=217 (1995) • Won her title by the closest margin of any Lady Gator SEC Championship medalist, in a one-hole playoff against teammate Jeanne-Marie Busuttil • Received honorable mention All- America honors as a freshman in 1993 and as a junior in 1995 by the National Golf Coaches Association • Finished in the top-10 21 times in her 40-tournament career • Career-low round was a four under par 68 at the 1993 Ryder/Florida Women’s Collegiate Aimee Cho 72-73-71=216 (2003) PLAYERS 2014-15 REVIEW HISTORY • Won the SEC crown by one stroke as a sophomore in 1986 • Three-time All-America selection (1986, 87, 88) and SEC Player of the Year in 1987 • Second freshman in UF history to win medalist honors at the SEC Championships • Sank a 30-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to win the title by one stroke • Shot an even-par 216 (72-73- 71) to win the title, including a career and tournament-low one-under-par 71 in windy conditions on the final day • Named Golf World Player of the Week after her performance at the SEC Championships GATORS 21 ALWAYS RECORDS UF WOMEN’S GOLF
