3rd Annual Somersett Farmers’ Market

Wednesdays, June 16 thru August 25

4–8 pm with music starting at 5 pm

If you have not already checked it out, you will want to head down to

Somersett’s Town Square for our popular farmers’ market. We have

fresh fruits and veggies, along with yummy deserts, pasta, chocolate,

coffee, pet food and treats, hand-crafted jewelry, essential oils,

organic soaps, candles and so much more. Plus, Roundabout Bistro

will be serving delicious food and The Grape & The Grain will have

excellent drink specials. The High Roller Band will play July 7, followed

by The Mighty 88’s, Livestock At Large and Great Owl. Thanks to a

sponsorship from Smile Shop, free face painting will be available for the

kids. Don’t miss out on our grand prize drawing! Enter each week for

your chance to win the use of The Loft, our new 3,200 sf private events

room.

Community Assistance

Program with this exciting

new event! We will do 18 teams of six going out in two separate

waves. Your registration fee of $30 per player will include golf, BBQ,

live entertainment, team prizes and the satisfaction of giving back to

such a great group of firefighter volunteers. The Reno Fire Department

Community Assistance Program gives back to the community by

assisting those who have been affected by fire. The program helps with

food, clothing, lodging, and medical bills. This program also assists

firefighter families whose spouse or significant other has been injured

and may need medical treatment outside of the Reno area. RFFCAP is

a 501(c)3 organization. Sponsorship packages are also available.

3rd Annual Somersett Sierra Challenge

– Ride to Defeat ALS

Save the date! Saturday, August 21, 6 am check-in/registration

This year’s event will offer three ride choices: 82-mile ($65), 50-mile ($55),

and 30-mile ($45). All rides offer full SAG support, and post-ride lunch,

live entertainment, raffle prizes and great sponsors for the rest stops! The

82-mile ride also includes a rest stop lunch. For ride information go to

Taste of Italia

Join Linda Armstrong in the great outdoors for a hike up to Shirley

Lakes. The trail follows Squaw Creek about 2.5 miles each way,

passing gorgeous waterfalls and canyon boulders. The hike is

somewhat difficult, and takes 2.5 to 3 hours. A snack will be provided

for the hike. Wear something comfortable and bring extra water and

food if needed. Weather permitting. This is a carpooling event, please

meet at the Club for a 9 am departure.

Adult Potluck

It’s the 4th of July and flags are flying high! It’s the perfect month

to celebrate America! Join us for an American-themed feast at this

month’s patriotic potluck. Please indicate what you plan to bring when

you RSVP. Invite all your friends from the neighborhood! These monthly

gatherings are a great way to meet new friends and neighbors. Save

the date for our next potluck on Saturday, August 21.
