Licocene PE MA 4351 is a highly maleic

anhydride grafted polyethylene wax. It

is preferable used for polyethylene based

reinforced compounds in the concentration

range of 1 – 3 %. The concentration depends

on the particle size, the kind and amount

of the reinforcing material. Therefore the

optimum concentration has to be determined

individually in specific tests.

Licocene PP MA 6452 is a highly maleic

anhydride grafted polypropylene wax. It is

preferable used for polypropylene based

glass and natural fiber reinforced compounds.

Recommended concentration is 1 – 3 %.

Licocene PP MA 7452 TP is also a highly

maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene

wax. It is recommended for the use in polypropylene

based wood plastic composites

(WPC). Effective concentration is between

1 – 3 % depending on the filler level. Due to

the high crystallinity and the higher melting

point it provides especially in WPC an outstanding

increase of the impact properties.

Figure 1 shows the improved toughness of

wood plastic composites (WPC). Figure 2

demonstrates the effect of Licocene PP MA

6452 in natural fiber reinforced polypropylene.

Figure 3 shows the effect of Licocene

PP MA 7452 TP.

dispersion of the filler, increase the mechanical properties

in PE and PP based inorganic filled compounds.

ADVANTAGES

· Good wetting of the filler due to low viscosity and high polarity

· Decrease of abrasive properties of the filler

· Increase of the mechanical properties like tensile strength, E-Modulus and elongation

· Out performance of conventional waxes like stearates, amide waxes, PE waxes.

· Effective at low concentration

Licocene PE MA 4351 is a highly maleic

anhydride grafted polyethylene wax. It is

preferable used for polyethylene based

filled compounds in the concentration

range of 1 – 2 %. Typical fillers are chalk,

talcum, titanium dioxide, barium sulfate etc.

Figure 4 demonstrates the tensile strength

test results.

Licocene PP MA 6452 and Licocene PP MA

7452 TP are a highly maleic anhydride grafted

polypropylene waxes. They are preferably

used for polypropylene based inorganic filled

compounds. Re commended concentration is

1 – 2 %. In mineral filled PP compounds with

typical inorganic fillers with filling levels of

10 – 80 % the Licocene grades provide the

highest mechanical properties outperforming

state-of-the-art products like stearates, amide

waxes and conventional polyolefin waxes.

Figures 5 and 6 show the highest E-modulus

and highest tensile strength with grafted

Licocene PP grades.
