The Indianapolis Colts take great pride in playing an active role in the community and are

committed to corporate citizenship throughout Indiana.

Leading by example, we hope to encourage and inspire our fellow Hoosiers to participate in

the practice of giving back.

Our goal is to create lasting philanthropic partnerships and to maximize those relationships

for the betterment of our community, thus, building a legacy of goodwill as we share the

heart behind the horseshoe.

Visit www.colts.com/community for more information on all of our outreach efforts.

Education and Literacy

Throughout the year the Colts empower young people with the gift of knowledge by providing

books and tutoring for students who otherwise may not be able to afford those resources.

• Books for Youth has placed more than 5,000 backpacks filled with books in the hands

of foster children.

• Colts Day in Schools provides more than 1,000 free books for students with a special

reading appearance from Colts players.

Play 60

The Colts are dedicated to decreasing the childhood obesity epidemic in Indiana

through our community outreach efforts. Sixty minutes. Every day. That’s the

simple message of the NFL Play 60 platform that the Colts share with local

youth while providing the resources they need to live active, healthy lives.

• Fuel Up to PLAY 60 teaches youth the value of eating healthy to stay fit.

• More than 25,000 youth across the state participate in our Youth Football

camps, clinics, combines and grant programs which promote further

advancement of health, fitness and sports at all ages.

• Hispanic Heritage Month Clinic provides a free football clinic for Hispanic

youth.

• Our annual Hometown Huddle establishes safe, renovated fitness rooms at

local community centers.

• Project Playground engages the entire community to build a Colts-themed

Volunteerism

Beyond the football field, every Tuesday during the season, Colts players use their day off from practice

to volunteer in the community as a part of the Colts Community Tuesday program. Throughout the

year, we also recognize our fans who give their time and talent to make a difference in communities

across Indiana.

• Anthem Angels recognizes individuals who have gone above the call of duty in their community.

• Community Quarterback Award honors season ticket holders who have shown a commitment

to volunteerism.

• Huntington Heroes gives youth from a local community center a VIP experience at Training Camp.

• National Philanthropy Day celebrates the spirit of philanthropy through a day of service with youth.

• Student All Star Grants offer grants for youth to complete a service project in their community.

2011 Player Awards

WR Reggie Wayne earned the Colts Man of the Year honor in 2011. This annual humanitarian award

honors the legacy of excellence, on and off the field, left by the late Chicago Bears RB Walter Payton.

As the Colts recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award, LB Robert Mathis was chosen by his teammates

as the player who most exemplified principles of sportsmanship, professionalism, strength and courage

during the 2011 season.

Former C Jeff Saturday accepted the 2011 Colts Byron “Whizzer” White Award in recognition of his

service to his team, community and country.

Holiday Outreach

The holidays are a time for giving and sharing the joy of the season. During the

months of November and December, the Colts focus on programs that ensure no

family goes without receiving gifts of life or gifts to live. From diminishing hunger

to providing toys to children in need, the Colts strive to spread good spirits to all.

• Each year, the Colts partner with the Indiana Blood Center to present the Bleed

Blue Blood Drive and Health Fair, the largest blood drive in Indiana.

• Prior to each Colts home game, Gameday Collections gather donations for

charities from fans and visitors.

• Colts players and staff help spread the cheer to hospitalized children through

Holiday Caroling.

• Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers at Thanksgiving provides meals to more than

3,000 low-income families.

• Through Shop with a Colt, the Colts team up with Meijer to give underserved

youth a special shopping spree with players and staff.

CHEERLEADERS

The Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders are entering their 29th season with the

organization. The Colts Cheerleaders continue to serve as ambassadors for

the organization year round. Preparations for auditions begin with workshops

in March and continue through the final round of auditions and interviews in

April. Full squad practices begin in late April along with uniform fittings and hair

makeovers. Hundreds of women auditioned for the 32 spots on the 2012 team.

This meant intense competition throughout the audition process and one of the

strongest squads in Colts Cheer history.

Besides performing for more than 63,000 fans in Lucas Oil Stadium at every

home game, these tenderhearted women reach out to the community in more

ways than one. The Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders make appearances all over

the state of Indiana from Colts in Motion events, training camp, parades, races

and walks, to appearances at sporting events, military bases, Christmas caroling

at local hospitals and many more. The 2011 squad also performed at several

Super Bowl XLVI events including the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show, Super

Bowl Village, NFL Experience and numerous celebrity flag football games.

fundamentals of cheerleading and dance, and get the

opportunity to perform at the American Family Fan

Zone outside of Lucas Oil Stadium and on the field

of select pregame and halftime shows alongside the

Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders. These young girls also

participate in various community service activities such

as making holiday greeting cards to send to military

troops, visits to Camp Atterbury, SACKing Hunger

dancing and performing. The program also gives them the opportunity to serve in their community and grow in their personal lives. These ladies are both

RADI O NETWORK

For the 26th season, Colts fans will have the opportunity to listen to games from legendary play-by-play voice,

Bob Lamey. Lamey, who is joined by Will Wolford (sixth season) in the booth, Kevin Lee (sixth season)

on the field and Vince Eagan (gameday producer) will encompass a broadcast team featured on flagship

stations WFNI (1070 AM The Fan), WLHK (97.1 Hank FM) and over 40 stations on the Vectren Radio Network.

Lamey’s association with the Colts began during the team’s inaugural season in 1984. He was broadcasting

games until 1991 and then resumed his duties in 1995. Lamey is well known in the region as the former

play-by-play voice of the Indianapolis Racers (1974-1977) and the Indiana Pacers (1977-1984). He was

inducted to the Indiana Sports Broadcasters and Writers Hall of Fame in 2008.

“It’s always a pleasure to broadcast Colts games to the greatest fans in the NFL,” said Lamey. “I always reflect on two of my biggest thrills during

my tenure with this team. The first was the AFC Championship Game victory over the Patriots leading to Super Bowl XLI. The second is the Monday

celebration following the Super Bowl win. Every seat was taken in the RCA Dome and I’ve never heard a sports venue as loud as that was even hours

before the team arrived.”

Wolford compiled a stellar 13-year NFL career as an offensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills (1986-1992), Colts (1993-1995) and Pittsburgh Steelers

(1996-1998). The former 1986 first round draft choice is a three-time Pro Bowl selection.

In addition to his duties with the Colts broadcast team, Lee serves as a pre-race host and pit reporter for Indycar, works on the NBC Sports Network and

is also part of the Indiana Pacers broadcast team.

The nine-hour gameday broadcast includes a pregame show that features two segments with head coach Chuck Pagano, player interviews and a

preview of the upcoming Colts contest. A postgame show follows the conclusion of the game with sound from Pagano and key players and a call-in

show with fans.
