“Fulfilling the dreams of people, businesses and

communities through innovative financial solutions.”

Run your business without

the run around!

EZdeposit TM

your remote deposit solution.

In the last two years, EZdeposit TM has

revolutionized the way businesses do banking.

Banks are now able to process check images

and do not need the original paper checks.

As a result, businesses are able to:

• Deposit checks without leaving the office.

• Access funds from payments

received faster.

• Receive faster check return notification.

• Streamline reporting and

accounting procedures.

• Eliminate multiple banking relationships.

EZdeposit TM is ideal for clients who primarily

accept checks. All you need is a computer, an

internet connection and a qualified check

scanner. For more information or product

demonstration, call Treasury Management

Specialist, Jolene Hostak, 1-888-571-0249.

Protect your Assets

Businesses are advised to employ fraud prevention and

detection systems as a result of a fraud jump in small and

mid-size companies in the U.S., resulting in drained bank

Best Practices

1. Safeguard your electronic assets with features

like network security, remote access and

application security controls.

2. Review monthly bills and statements to ensure

all purchases are warranted. Fraudulent fund

transfers in the U.S. as a result of compromised

log-in credentials increased in 2009.

3. Require an internal dual control system in billing

and payroll areas. Verify all payments are

accurate and all funds received are distributed

properly. Schedule a thorough audit annually.

The best defense is good offense and we are on your side!

A Note of Optimism

You may be wondering if optimism is even

warranted. The stock market has seen

some positive movement and negative

news in the financial industry seems to

have slowed. Some experts predict that the

economy will start shifting momentum in

the fourth quarter, into the first quarter

of 2010.

Community banks have offered business

solutions during these unprecedented

economic times. Take the opportunity to

review long-term strategies and financial

goals. Keep them in mind as you make

decisions amidst the economic challenges

of today, tomorrow and beyond.

Financial integrity and trust is at our core

and we continue to make loans for

projects that improve our communities. Our

attention is on the success of businesses

and families in our communities.

Accepting deposits and lending money

within our communities helps us all grow

and prosper.

1 st National Bank is

shaped by its 133 year

legacy and focused on

your future. Thank you

for building a trusted

relationship with us.

We promise to

continue strengthening that relationship

for years to come.
