It’s March! That means <strong>Murat</strong> Shrine<br />
Circus, Hoosier Hysteria, St. Paddy’s Day,<br />
First Day of Spring, Potentate’s Ball &<br />
National Bubble Week! You may already<br />
know that I enjoy obscure holidays. For<br />
instance, March 10 is Middle Name Pride<br />
Day. That is significant because you all<br />
know me by my middle name. March 27 is<br />
National “Joe” Day … significant because<br />
Joe Stoutner is our fabulous Chief Aide.<br />
But, my favorite is National Bubble Week—<br />
the second week of March. Just think of all<br />
the fun we can have celebrating this week blowing bubbles,<br />
giving bottles of bubbles as gifts, and bubble baths! May I suggest<br />
you surprise a friend with a bubble gift that day? Life is<br />
short … relish every moment.<br />
The Potentate’s Ball Committee has been working diligently<br />
for months in preparation for “Oh What a Night!” on<br />
March 24 in the Arabian & Egyptian Rooms. Charlie and I are<br />
anxiously anticipating sharing this evening with you. Won’t<br />
you join us?<br />
The annual Ladies Card Party will be held April 11 in the<br />
Tunisian Room. The <strong>Divan</strong> ladies are planning an exciting day<br />
with you in mind. You don’t have to play cards to come and<br />

The annual trek to the Great Smoky<br />
Mountains will be here soon. May is a great<br />
time to visit the mountains and kick off<br />
spring and Shrine parade season. Let’s put<br />
on our camp shirts and head down south<br />
for some smiles and sunshine May 10–13.<br />
