Both events help rais<strong>in</strong>g money for local charities<br />

Giv<strong>in</strong>g back to our community and improv<strong>in</strong>g it, is<br />

very important to everyone at <strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong>. This year,<br />

for example we focused on <strong>the</strong> beautification of<br />

Grand Cayman by pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g a house <strong>in</strong> West Bay for<br />

<strong>the</strong> National Recovery Fund and participat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Chamber of Commerce Road Side Clean Up. We also<br />

Humane Society and walk dogs one Saturday.<br />

We would like to encourage everyone to get <strong>in</strong>volved<br />

<strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Jungle</strong><br />

For <strong>the</strong> first time this year <strong>the</strong> Associates and staff of<br />

<strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> Cayman Islands manned a water stop at <strong>the</strong><br />

Cayman Islands Marathon, which was held on <strong>the</strong> 2nd<br />

of December. The ‘<strong>Jungle</strong>’ <strong>the</strong>med water stop was<br />

located at <strong>the</strong> turn around po<strong>in</strong>t on Old Prospect Road.<br />

A giant giraffe, snakes, real plants and a safari Jeep were<br />

<strong>the</strong> props <strong>the</strong> <strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> team decorated <strong>the</strong> water stop<br />

with. Edna Ebanks, Kerri Kanuga, Oliver DeHart, Michael<br />

Joseph, Bill Baldw<strong>in</strong> (all Sales Associates), D<strong>in</strong>ah Green<br />

and Andrew McLaughl<strong>in</strong> handed dr<strong>in</strong>ks and snacks to<br />

<strong>the</strong> runners, while <strong>the</strong> <strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> tent offered shade for all<br />

<strong>the</strong> relay runners who started or f<strong>in</strong>ished <strong>the</strong>ir run.<br />

For <strong>the</strong> members of Team <strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> Powerhouse (Kerri<br />

Kanuga, Susan Boyko, Dillon Claassens and Douglas<br />

Boyd) and <strong>the</strong> two Half Marathon <strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> runners<br />

(Amanda Brookman and Janet Jarchow) <strong>the</strong> water stop<br />

Member of CI<strong>RE</strong>BA<br />

was a highlight of <strong>the</strong> run. ‘Every water stop along <strong>the</strong><br />

way made <strong>the</strong> run easier not just because of <strong>the</strong> water<br />

<strong>the</strong>y supplied, but also because of <strong>the</strong> friendly people who<br />

cheered us on.’ says Douglas Boyd, who ran <strong>the</strong> last leg<br />

of <strong>the</strong> relay. ‘The <strong>Jungle</strong> Southwater Prospect stop was special because<br />

Sound<br />

Savannah<br />

many of my colleagues where <strong>the</strong>re, and <strong>the</strong>y got me<br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> right mood for my run, which I started at <strong>the</strong> turn<br />

around po<strong>in</strong>t.’ All <strong>in</strong> all everyone had a great time as <strong>the</strong><br />

pictures show.<br />

The next time to see <strong>the</strong> <strong>RE</strong>/<strong>MAX</strong> <strong>Jungle</strong> (water) Stop<br />
