Junior Achievement Company sells ‘Cayman Islands Beach Front Property’<br />
RE/MAX Cayman Islands Sales Associates<br />
and staff members have been volunteering<br />
for this programme for many years. This year<br />
Sales Associates Susan Boyko, Kass Coleman<br />
and Kerri Kanuga mentored students of the<br />
Caribbean Publishing Team. The students<br />
Marco Rankine, Kody Miller, Darcia Phillips,<br />
Samantha Frederick, Natasha Valerio, Kayla<br />
Archibold, Jahzenia Thomas, Johan Paz,<br />
Alyssa Manderson, Brianna Wilson, Shay Miller<br />
and Brittany Borden founded a company and<br />
named it Artistic Touch. Artistic Touch sold<br />
‘Cayman Islands Beach Front Property’ – a<br />
glass bottle with sand from the prestigious<br />
Seven Mile Beach.<br />
The JA Company Artistic Touch exceeded<br />
all expectations by making a net profit of<br />
CI$ 1046.26 which is 149% higher than<br />
their initial goal. Shareholders who bought<br />
shares at CI$ 2 each were paid CI$ 3.50 per<br />
share, giving them a 133% return on their<br />
investment.<br />
At the Junior Achievement Banquet which<br />
was held on May 17th at the Marriot Beach<br />
Resort, Artistic Touch received the awards<br />
for Company of the Year, Product of the Year,<br />
Sales Person of the Year – Brittany Borden,<br />
Female Achiever of the Year – Kayla Archibold<br />
and Vice President of Finance of the Year-<br />
Brittany Borden.<br />
Shay Miller, who has been working after<br />
school at RE/MAX for over a year, Brittany<br />
Borden and Kayla Archibold are going<br />
to represent the Cayman Islands Junior<br />
Achievement at this years CANJAC in<br />
August. CANJAC is an International Junior<br />
Achievement Conference held in Toronto.<br />

team did a fantastic job in compiling and<br />

About Junior Achievement<br />
Junior Achievement is a youth development<br />
programme in its 17th year in the Cayman<br />
Islands, which provides a foundation<br />
experience and mentoring from business<br />
leaders for aspiring entrepreneurs. Since<br />
1991 over 2700 students between the ages<br />
of 14 - 18 from all government and private<br />
high schools have participated in the<br />
programme.<br />

Islands is to educate and inspire young<br />
people to value free enterprise, understand<br />
business and economics, and be workforce<br />
ready. Coupled with the mission to ensure<br />
