Functional Skills are practical skills
developed by the regulators that
allow individuals to work confidently,
effectively and independently,
and help learners improve their
performance in a variety of contexts.
These qualifications develop and
assess functional mathematics at
Entry Levels 1, 2 and 3 as set out by
the Entry Level Functional Skills
standards.
These qualifications encourage
learners to demonstrate their skills
in representing, analysing and
interpreting, in a range of contexts
and for various purposes. These
qualifications also give them the
opportunity to develop and transfer
these skills to their own situation.
