ANNUAL REPORT 2015 ACTIVUS TRANSPORT TREASURERS REPORT I am pleased to present the financial report for the year ended 30 th June 2015 for Activus Transport Incorporated. The financial health of Activus Transport remains sound in 2015 with the organisation recording total assets of almost $2.545 million, an increase of 11.5 percent compared to 2014 assets of $2.276 million. Government Grant funding increased this financial year from $1.2 million in 2014 to $1.6 million in 2015 allowing us to further invest in technology, social media, staff recruitment and volunteer induction. Income received from our service users and through hiring out our buses has increased 13 percent compared to 2014. A dedicated Activus team worked tirelessly to achieve this excellent result which is a major improvement when compared to a cumulative operating revenue decrease of 20 percent over the previous 5 years. Expenses throughout the year were well managed with indirect service costs remaining steady at 15 percent of our total funding. Overall there was a 19 percent increase in salaries and staff expenses related to Activus Transport’s commitment to ongoing support and development of further education and on the job training for our employees. We are committed to further expansion of our multi skilled staffing environment. 76% 3% 21% FIGURE 1.1 TOTAL INCOME Funding Income passengers & Groups Other Our fleet management policies and practices brings financial strength to Activus. Budgeted, scheduled fleet turnover is responsive to the changing requirements of our service users and provides them with diverse vehicle options. Activus Transport had total accumulated funds and reserves of $2.081 million as at 30 th June 2015 which includes current assets of $1.719 million and current liabilities of $407,452. Activus is, therefore, more than able to meet all of our financial obligations. Our net income for the 2014/2015 financial year was $226,080. Activus has recently achieved an organisation restructure focussing on the strengths and opportunities of both our staff and our excellent and committed volunteers. An organisational relaunch has commenced with key outcomes including improving direct service delivery, greater client choice, extended operating hours and creating a more user focused environment. Activus is committed to providing a financially responsible service and continue to support our local community. We will continue to disclose timely, meaningful and reliable financial information to all of our regulatory bodies. We will continue to recognise the need for fluidity in service planning and in supporting our dedicated team with flexible working arrangements. Activus will continue to be an employer of choice.
