Wotan Dashboards
In Wotan Version 7 it's all about the brand new Dashboards. Beside the different
Monitoring Views, in Wotan Version 7 you can create and share individual Dashboards for
every relevant user group. In this document you will find descriptions of the most

New Dashboards within 3 steps
NEW: Every user can organize his Dashboards individually and can create as many
Dashboards as needed.
1. Create a new
Dashboard
2. Enter a name and a
menu position
3. Add Widgets and configure
them according to your wishes
Dashboard templates and rolls
Which users have access to the different Dashboards?
Access to AddOn Dashboards (Icinga, Multisite, OTRS, ...) depends on granted permissions,
no matter if the permissions have been assigned directly to the user or by one of the
user's roles.
If Monitor Permissions are assigned directly, the user immediately gets access to the
• Problem Dashboard and
• a Detail Dashboard for every Wotan site (if the user has permissions for the site)
Furthermore the user has access to all Dashboards that are assigned to his roles.
How do I create a Dashboard for a role?
1. Open Dashboard
Navigation → Manage Dashboards
2. New → Dashboard template → Add
Widgets → Save Changes
3. Go to Role Dashboards Open a →
Role ->Assign the Dashboard

Host and Service details
NEW: The detailed view of a Host or a Service can be accessed from different locations
within the Wotan GUI. The view offers important information about a Host or a Service and
provides various commands. Since Wotan Version 7, individual Host and Service Tools
(already known from previous Wotan Versions) can be added.

NEW: The results view of a global search can be configured individually. Similar to
Widgets, every user can define position, size and information of the results, suitable to
ones needs.
