hour. A colourful and controversial – on the one hand, it boasts 

a historical centre that stands on the Unesco list, on the other 

hand – its is know by its particular authenticity, the vivid locals, 

the chaotic driving and of course the pizza. 

On your last day, enjoy a minicruise on the River Tiber - it is 

one of the longest rivers in Italy and it crosses the centre of

This tour is absolute classics – it includes a 3-night stay in Florence – the Queen of 

Renaissance Art, a charming city brimming with artistic masterpieces, and a 3-night 

stay in Rome – the capital, which offers plenty of possibilities – its landmarks and 

historical sites are well known all around the world and is a must for every visitor. 

Been there, done that.. 

Arrive in Rome and reach the centre by shuttle bus or taxi (not 

included). Depending on the arrival time, afternoon at leisure. 

You will also reach Siena – historically, the rival of the nearby 

Florence, town of the famous horse run Palio. 

Today its centre is free of traffic, which underlines its medieval 

character. Proceed to San Gimignano, the town of the medieval 

towers, or the mysterious Volterra, the setting of the vampire 

movies (upon wish). 


Rome offers a number of attractions. Just to name some – the 

Baroque Centre with the beautiful piazzas and fountains, the 

Vatican with the Saint Paul’s and the Vatican Museums, the 

Pantheon, Castel Sant’Angelo, Circus Maximus and of course the 

Colosseum with the Roman Forum.. 

Start the day with a welcome tour to discover the attractions of 

the city (a collective tour with a local guide). 

The tour starts at Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Farnese; proceed to 

Piazza Navona (admire the Bernini’s statue the Fountains of Four 

Rivers). Then the Pantheon – once, inside, the guide with give you 

some explanations about it. Then the Via del Corso and the Trevi 

Fountain, and the tour finishes at the Spanish Steps – a popular

You can then continue on your own to the Villa Borghese park

added for the visit of Venice – the city on the canals is not located close by but still 

can be reached. Then proceed with your tour - be amazed by the Cinque Terre 

fishermen’s villages, Genoa – once a mighty sea republic and finally, reach the 

French Cote d’Azur and enjoy Nice, Cannes and the Principality of Monaco.

town Rocher, which lies on top of a cliff – this is where the Prince’s 

Palace is located. A touristic place but definitely a must for

A tour which will reveal the marvels of the welcoming Sicily, its magnificent beauty 

and the charming landscapes. At the same time, it is an island of contrasts, which 

bears evidence of the different nations that used to populate this unique land! 

Arrive at the airport of Palermo and collect your rental car. Reach 

your hotel in Palermo, overnight stay. 

As an alternative, why not Syracuse, a city on the eastern coast that 

is an interesting mixture of the ancient and moderns – see the 

Temple of Apollo and the Maniace Castle, located on the Ortigia 

Island. 

Upon your return, a local restaurant will welcome you for a typical 

dinner.

After breakfast, you can continue exploring the city and the 

surroundings. You might wish to get lost in one of the traditional 

markets of the city – the famous Ballarò, the Vucciria or the 

colourful Mercato del Capo. 

Before leaving Palermo, you should not miss the superb mosaics 

of the Cathedral of Monreale, an Norman-Arab masterpiece. Drive 

south and reach your next hotel. 

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we suggest visiting the Archeological 

Area Valley of Temples, which contrains probably some of the 

most outstanding examples of Greek Art, which has made the site 

one of the most visited destinations on the island. It stands on top 

of a plateau and contains seven Temples of Doric Art (almost 

intact) and a necropolis. Reach your hotel in the late afternoon. 

After breakfast, continue your journey. 

Drive along the coast towards Ragusa, a picturesque town set on 

top of a hill, a magnificent example of Baroque Art. The town has 

two faces – the modern and vivid Upper Ragusa, and Ragusa Ibla, 

a town of winding streets (as the town wasdestroyed by an 

earthquake and then was completely rebuilt). Reach your hotel 

and check in.

The eastern Sicily is perfect for a short but intense break – relax under the Sicilian 

sun, admire the Baroque pearls and visit some of the most fascinating towns of the 

island, such as Syracuse, and Taormina, and see the volcano. 

Land in the Catania Airport and collect your rental car. Reach 

Syracuse and check in into your hotel. A welcome dinner with 

local specialties in a pretty restaurant in Ortigia is a perfect start 

of your island break. 

Breakfast at your hotel. A free visit of Syracuse, a place which 

used to be an important Greek Holiday. It is a marvellous mix of 

different cultured and civilizations that inhabited the island. 

Breakfast at your hotel. Reach the Catania Airport, leave your rental 

car and say goodbye to Sicily! 

But we suggest adding an extra day to join a day-minicruise to the 

Eolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago! Opt for the tour Lipari (the

old town, where you can actually breathe the authentic Sicilian

– Noto, the Baroque Pearl that stand on the UNESCO heritage 

list, or Modica, a romantic town of an amazing chocolate 

tradition (the chocolate of Modica).

located in Taomina/Taormina area, a charming location. In the 

afternoon we suggest exploring Taormina itself as well as its 

Greek Theatre that offers unforgettable views on Mount Etna and 

the Strait of Messina.

to offer, such as the volcano Etna, Europe’s highest active 

volcano (3300m). Etna is undeniably a must for every visitor not 

only for its volcanic phenomenon but also for the superb, almost 

lunar landscapes. 

You can reach the Rifugio Sapienza, starting point of hiking trails 

and choose one of the various ways to explore the area – 

trekking along the old craters, hiking, or you can choose a 4x4 

jeep ride or a cable car to reach the height of 2400m (upon wish, 

you can join an excursion to discover the volcano, ancient 

craters, the new flows, and the nature of the area.

Day 4 – this is where the red wine dolcetto comes from. The tour 

begins with a visit of an excellent wine cellar – Podere Enaudi in 

Dogliani (taste the wine). 

Proceed to Murazzano to admire the view from the square tower, 

located on a hill (739 m). You can also reach the villages 

Bossolasco and Cissone. Free lunch. In the afternoon, a highly 

suggested landmark is the Vicoforte Sanctuary, a triumph of 

architecture thanks to its enormous elliptical cupola, one of the 

largest of the kind. Free lunch.. 

Breakfast at the hotel. Reach the Turin (or Milan) Airport, car 

drop off and departure.

Then reach Grinzane Cavour castle to admire some beautiful 

views (the Count Camillo Benso Cavour was actually the 

owner of the fortification (the museum can be visited). 

Afterwards, departure to Alba, the town of the “hundred

of the International Truffle Fair. 

Dinner at a Slow Food restaurant in Pollenzo, where the “Università 

di Scienze Gastonomiche” is located. Taste the authentic cuisine, 

prepared with the fresh ingredients of the season. 

On this day, visit the Monferrato Wine Region, and in particular – 

the Canelli underground cathedrals (on Unesco list since 2014), 

where the Italian sparkling wine was born. 

See the labyrinth of the passageways where Asti Spumante is kept, 

under the streets of Canelli! Of course, finish the visit with a wine 

tasting.

Piedmont means excellent cuisine, wonderful views, dotted with medieval villages, 

and the royal Turin. .. and probably the best wines. Barolo, the king of wines, aged in 

barrels. It is a meditative, intense wine, to be sipped slowly. Barbaresco, also made of 

Nebbiolo grapes, is the lighter version of Barolo, also worth the appreciation. Barbera 

is another rich red wine with a strong flavour. And then the Moscato d’Asti. 

Arrive in Turin – the city hugged by the Alps, collect your rental 

car, and reach your hotel. The hotel is located in the centre, 

between the most famous landmarks and the River Po. Be 

amazed by the historic squares, the noble palaces, and the little 

historical cafes under the arcades. 

After the visit and wine tasting proceed to Acqui Terme, a 

town of the thermal waters and cobblestone streets. See 

the Bollente – a natural hot water spring standing in the 

centre of the town.

Turin still has plenty of things to offer – in the morning your have

famous wine region in Piedmont, the land of truffles, wines,

After breakfast, full immersion into the suggestive Langhe hills – a 

synonym of great wines and incredible landscapes. We suggest 

the first stop in Alba – the medieval town of the “hundred 

towers”, to have a stroll through the picturesque old town, home

Mount Subasio, known as the birthplace of Saint Francis. We

heritage list and is home of trulli, limestone dwellings with conical 

roofs, a fabulous, surreal place, the only town in the world entirely

After the visit, proceed inland in the direct meaning of the word – 

to the Castellana Grottoes, more than 90 million years old but 

discovered only in 1938. During the visit (of almost 1 hr) you can

The last destination of the day - Polignano Mare (the birthplace of 

the song “Volare”), which has much to offer, especially the blue
