The story explores the thoughts of an inquisitive young girl whose name is Petula. It is based on the insightful nature of children, who seem to have the ability to see the world around them with a lot more depth and curiosity than adults do. As we grow older we tend to lose this aspect of our personalities and this book aims to open the doors to our closed off imaginations. Much of the story is based on real questions and statements that children have made, such as, “It would be beautiful, inspiring and interesting if it started snowing in colours other than white.”- Peter 6.
