Foreword
It has been a very busy
and successful year for
Kalparrin following the
launch of the new brand
and the direction set
following changes to
the Board. Congratulations to all with a special
thanks to Sarah Flanagan and Shaun Murphy
who will be retiring from the Board after several
years of energetic service, dedication and
generosity to Kalparrin. I also extend a warm
welcome to Christine Stott who comes to
Kalparrin as our new General Manager with a
great reputation from Ngala for her work there.
Well done to all involved in preparing another
full program of activities for our Kalparrin
families. These wonderful events have provided
fun and support for the dedicated parents and
their children .The up and away day that I was
able to attend is a personal highlight and it
was an absolute delight to see the happy and
excited children enjoying this event.
My compliments and heartfelt thanks to all
of the Kalparrin sponsors and supporters
whose generosity has made our family support
program, events and functions possible.
Our Purpose
To make a positive difference to the lives
of children with special needs through the
provision of practical and emotional family
support.
Our Vision
Stronger families; Strong Communities;
Celebrated Achievements
Our values are:
• Give hope,
• Show and give respect,
• Be responsive,
• Be accountable, and
• Empower others.
These values guide everybody’s actions,
communications, and decisions in our
contributions at Kalparrin.
We have plenty to focus on as we move into
the next year, building strong partnerships that
enable Kalparrin to bring additional depth to
our service and support and our move to the
new Perth Children’s Hospital. It is interesting
times in the sector and I look forward to
continuing my support of Kalparrin and being
part of its growth as it continues to provide
much valued support to our families.
The Hon. Barbara Scott, Patron.
