Middle School
this past spring were favorably received and are allowing us to
implement creative project-based learning tasks that have been
designed and integrated across the middle school curriculum.”
Evan Gilroy is a former PEGASUS 7/8 teacher who is currently
teaching grade 6 and 7 English and language arts as well
as an accelerated program. “The past year has been filled with
excitement, anticipation and plenty of change,” said Evan. “My
heart was dedicated to PEGASUS7/8 for the last several years,
but the opening of the new De La Salle Middle School is providing
many new opportunities for both teachers and students.
One of the most exciting aspects is being able to bring in
sixth graders and mold them into the high-performing students
for which La Salle has become so well known.”
A number of new faculty were added to the middle school
to accommodate the additional students and provide multileveled
instruction. Kerrin DuBee joins the La Salle community
as religion teacher for grade 6 and religion, social studies
and English teacher for grade 7. “I am very excited to join the
De La Salle Middle School team in its inaugural year,” said
Kerrin. “There’s a lot of energy as we welcome our new students.
Joining a Lasallian school gives me the chance to help
guide students as they develop character as well as content
skills. I am the product of a Catholic education and it definitely
shaped the person I am today. I hope my students will feel the
same about their time on our campus.”
