Babies sleep a lot after their birth for few months and hence you should make sure that they

1. Consider Space
It’s advised that babies should sleep in your room only for initial few months, but however

not be more than 3cm.
2. Ensure that child should sleep from feet to foot position, that means feet at base of the cot
3. Keep the temperature of room till 18°C i.e. not too hot not even cold.
4. Keep baby monitor cords well out of baby’s reach
5. Ensure the baby’s bed is rigid when combined with no wobbles and has tighten fittings.
6. Please don’t use a cot top changer on a sleigh baby bed as its one side is sloping
7. In case if you are using a bumper then make sure it is moved to the slats and fixed
securely in between mattress and slats with base edge touching the baby’s bed base.
