This is the regular newsletter from the Warwick Rural East SNT. Between
01/11/2015 and 30/11/2015 there have been 140 incidents reported to
Warwickshire Police and recorded on the forces command and control system
for the WRE area. Out of those incidents there were:
• 6 Anti-Social Behaviour (including neighbour disputes)
• 47 Road related (incl RTC’s, abandoned vehicles and breakdowns)
• 13 Theft (including theft of/from vehicles and burglary incidents)
• 6 Damage incident(s)
• 9 Suspicious Circumstance(s)
• 0 Alarm(s)
• 9 Domestic(s)
• 50 Other

WRE SNT location: Warwick Rural East SNT are based out of Jubilee House,
Kenilworth next to Kenilworth Direct/Library. Please note there is no public
access to Jubilee House without prior arrangement.
WRE Community Forum
The next Warwick Rural East Community Forum shall be held on Thursday
11-FEB-2016 – venue TBC. The meeting will commence at 1930hrs; doors
open at 1900hrs. Please arrive promptly so that the meeting can start on time.

Christmas Crime Prevention Advice
When using your vehicle:
• Never leave presents or valuables on open display in your car. Even
plastic carrier bags could attract a thief.
• Park in safe, well-lit areas.
• Use secure car parks, lock your vehicle & remove valuables.
• Remove your SatNav and any associated cradle. Wipe off any marks
left on your windscreen.
When out shopping:
• Do not leave your purse, wallet, keys or mobile telephone in your
shopping trolley or basket.
• Do not put any valuables down at the checkout when purchasing items.
• Keep your valuables in an inside coat pocket or zip them in your bag
and keep it close to your body.
• If stopping off for a mid-shop coffee, don’t leave your valuables or
purchases unattended whilst you purchase a drink / use the facilities.
When at home:
• Don’t advertise to thieves what you have in your home.
• Don’t put presents under the tree until Christmas Eve.
• Don’t have your presents visible from the outside of your home. Place
your Christmas tree away from windows and external doors.
• Don’t store presents in sheds/outbuildings.
• Don’t leave discarded present boxes outside and in view.
• Property mark and register your new gifts.

A fond farewell and a warm welcome…
PI 803 David Kettle has recently been promoted to Police Inspector from his
previous role as SNT Sergeant covering Kenilworth, Warwick, Warwick Rural
East and Warwick Rural West. He spent a good number of years as SNT
Sergeant covering Kenilworth as part of his role. At the beginning of November
Inspector Kettle moved onto pastures new. We wish him all the best in his new
role as patrol Inspector at Bedworth.
At the start of November, PS 1958 Chris Kitson took over as SNT Sergeant for
the above mentioned areas. We would like to welcome Sergeant Kitson into his
new role and look forward to working with him. He has previous experience as
patrol Sergeant and as custody Sergeant, and is looking forward to working
with our partner agencies helping to protect our communities from harm.
BELOW IS A SELECTION OF INCIDENTS THAT HAVE OCCURRED ON
THE WRE AREA DURING NOVEMBER 2015.
Vehicle Crime: Between 1530hrs and 1830hrs Sunday 15-NOV-2015
unknown offender(s) entered a blue '12' plate BMW 320 that was parked on
the car park of a business situated on Coventry Road, Baginton. Offender(s)
stole electrical items from the rear of the vehicle and also stole items from the
boot. Register your property at www.immobilise.com
Burglary: Between 1600hrs Saturday 28-NOV-2015 and 0800hrs Sunday
29-NOV-2015 unknown offender(s) forced entry into a brick outbuilding located
at the rear of a property on Coventry Road, Baginton near to the Lunt Roman
Fort. Nothing appears to have been stolen.
Vehicle Crime: At approximately 2040hrs Monday 02-NOV-2015 unknown
offender(s) stole a white '11' plate Vauxhall Astra van from a property on
Church Lane, Cubbington. The vehicle has since been recovered.
Vehicle Crime: Between 0900hrs Saturday 07-NOV-2015 and 1330hrs
Sunday 08-NOV-2015 unknown offender(s) entered an insecure shed within a
farm site situated on Welsh Road, Cubbington. Offender(s) stole a multicoloured
'59' plate Kubota RTV 900 4x4 utility vehicle by unknown means.

Burglary: Between 0900hrs Thursday 19-NOV-2015 and 1530hrs Friday
20-NOV-2015 unknown offender(s) entered an insecure outbuilding at the rear
of a rural premise situated off of Leicester Lane, Cubbington between
Kenilworth Road and Coventry Road. Offender(s) stole an orange 'Belle'
Damage: Unknown offender(s) removed posters and damaged a sign on the
notice-board located on the bus shelter at the junction of Broadway and Rugby
Road, Cubbington. The damage to the notice-board sign etc, is believed to
have occurred during the night of Saturday 21-NOV-2015 into the morning of
Sunday 22-NOV-2015. The remnants of the sign were discarded down
Burglary: Between 1430hrs and 1500hrs Sunday 08-NOV-2015 unknown
offender(s) entered an insecure building on the National Agricultural and
Exhibition Centre 'NAEC' site and stole vehicle keys for a black '09' plate
Volkswagen Transporter van. Offender(s) then proceeded to steal the above
mentioned vehicle. The vehicle was seen driving off of the NAEC site and is
believed to have been driven down Stareton Lane.
Burglary: Between 1800hrs Friday 13-NOV-2015 and 0800hrs Monday
16-NOV-2015 unknown offenders burgled a commercial premises on Kings Hill
Lane, Stoneleigh Ward. Offenders gained entry into the building by smashing a
pane of glass at the front entrance. Offenders stole an Apple iMac and four
laptops, making good their escape.
