A competitive solution<br />
In July 2015 <strong>KIRCHHOFF</strong> Automotive started with the production process for the new<br />
BMW 7 model facilitated by new aluminum welding technology.<br />
For this model <strong>KIRCHHOFF</strong> Automotive<br />
produces front-end structure parts in<br />
Mielec and Gliwice. After the forming<br />
and an artificial ageing process in Mielec<br />
the parts undergo an oil cleaning process,<br />
MIG welding, e-coating and riveting<br />
in Gliwice. The front-end structure<br />
for the BMW 7 series presents<br />
a central contribution to lightweight<br />
construction. <strong>KIRCHHOFF</strong> Automotive<br />
actively participated also in the design<br />
and development as well as early prototype<br />
phase. The result is a complete<br />
aluminum solution in profile and monocoque<br />
construction. This way a competitive<br />
solution was developed which<br />
can also be found in the further derivates<br />
of the platform with optimal material<br />
combination and best possible<br />
performance.<br />
