Suicide Liaison Service
For those who are left behind
This is a specialist service developed
to support people who have been
bereaved by suicide. The NHS in
Cornwall has commissioned us to
provide it across the county.
We have trained professionals
with expert knowledge, skills and
experience in helping those who have
been bereaved in this way. The type
of support they provide includes:
face-to-face contact with those who
are left behind (family, loved ones or
friends), information, practical support
and guidance about the sorting out of
personal affairs, as well as liaison with
the Coroner's Office, the Police, media
or faith groups where necessary.
The service also runs eight week
bereavement by suicide courses/
groups across Cornwall.
It is open to anyone who has been
affected by suicide. If you or someone
you know would like to access this free
service you can call us direct on 01208
871905 or referrals can be made by
your GP/health professional.

Our helpline is open from 8am to 6pm,
Monday to Friday (excluding bank
holidays) and one of our operators can
give you helpful friendly information
and support and can tell you how we
can help you carry on caring.
All our services are free and we will
make sure you get the right help,
advice and support to make caring a
little easier.
