Ken Botto
Ken Botto (’55) recently passed away at the age of 71. Mr. Botto
was a photographer whose works were shown in the New York
Metropolitan Museum and the New York and San Francisco
Museums of Modern Art. As a student at St. Mary’s, Mr. Botto
did the drawings for The Kettle newspaper. In 1978, Mr. Botto
published the photography book, “Past Joys.” There is a research
award of $5,000 being offered for individuals willing to study Mr.
Botto’s life/work, or to work in the same tradition.
Memorial Gifts Program
A tribute gift is a special way to honor or remember a loved one. Upon
receipt of your contribution an acknowledgment card will be sent to the
person designated, stating that a donation has been received in their honor.
When you honor the memory of a deceased person, you help a student
who has lost a parent. Memorial gifts may also benefit scholarships and
departments. St. Mary’s living benefactors are remembered at Mass on
the First Friday of each month. The names of the deceased are inscribed
in our In Memoriam book and are remembered in a special Mass on the
third Wednesday of each month in the St. Mary’s Chapel.
