My Valentine
The Man of My Dreams
TRACEY’SCORNER
BY
I
TRACEY PITTS
thank God for uniting us on June 22,
1991, we had only just begun. We came
from very humble beginnings, working
jobs, barely making pennies, but our
love for God and each other kept us
strong. We trusted in Him only and sang
spiritual songs.
I remember having ten dollars for groceries
each week, but God kept us healthy and we
never missed a beat. Do you remember our first
verbal fight? We took it to God in prayer and He
showed His love and light. He told us never let
the sun go down on our wrath, so we’ve held on to that wisdom
and are walking in His path. I remember when you worked
long hours, so I could get my teaching degree. I will be forever
grateful throughout eternity.
We’ve been through many trials, but continue to stand in His
might, because His word is our refuge and His marvelous light.
He has freed us from all bondage and from the hand of the enemy,
to walk in His freedom and His divine liberty. When we lost your
brother, dad, sister and mom, many thought you would quit, tuck
your tail and run. They thought you’d run back to this depraved
and sinful world, but they couldn’t see God was creating a pearl.
You are a rare jewel, unique and one of a kind. I am so grateful
to God that our hearts are intertwined. I’ve
seen you go through illnesses, betrayals,
and pains, yet by the grace of God, you still
remain the same. I’ve seen you be victorious
too, even when you had the right to be blue.
”A Defending Lion” is what your name
means. You also drink from God’s word,
a free flowing stream. Even when I was
weak with terrible fear, you would come and
whisper in my ear, “Elaine, God has never let
us down, so girt up your loins (His power has
no bounds)!
God knew us before we were even born
(Trust in Him and don’t be torn) He will surely get us out of this
trial, even if it lasts for just a while. We will make it through, for
God cannot lie. He’s our daddy, so we need not cry. He is with us
through the thick and thin. He said He’d never leave us and He’ll
be here till the end. Harry Pitts is a man with several bachelor’s
degrees and a master’s too, but he knows that without God, there
is nothing he can do.
So allow me to present to you, my loving hubby or shall I say,
“My Boo.” He’s my knight in shining armor, my lover and best
friend and I will support him until our very end. Please put your
hands together as we welcome this man of God, Pastor Harry L.
