All of Devon! Keeping an eye on the flock There’s great news in this landmark issue of Devonshire magazine. ‘DOG POWER’ Taking photos at Yellingham Farm recently, a place with many dogs in residence, it struck home just how much our four legged friends manage to fit into our human world, neatly emphasised by Janetʼs sheep dogs making themselves useful, taking it upon themselves to round up some errant sheep. When you consider all the different jobs they undertake for us, itʼs quite staggering, drugs detection, guiding, tracking, guarding, rescue, health diagnosis, modelling, acting (yes -let us not forget the immortal ʻLassieʼ), the list goes on and on. Of course, theyʼre also our nicest companions, always happy to share our pork scratchings down the pub!
