Langlois Lions News
The Langlois Lions Sight and
Hearing Screening program was
held at the Langlois-Port Orford
Driftwood elementary school Sept
7th. We are pleased to report that
almost the entire student body
from kindergarten through 8th
grade was tested for a total of 146
kids. The event was coordinated
by Wally Anderson, the Lions
Club Oregon Mobile health event
manager with local Lions
providing the services and
funding. Also, the Langlois Lions
club will continue to financially
support further testing on
abnormal screening results with
eye glasses, hearing aids, etc as
indicated for qualified applicants.

Democrats Meet

The next monthly meeting of the
Curry County Democrats will take
place on Saturday, September 15,
2PM to 3:30PM at the North
Curry County Democratic
Headquarters at 1634 Oregon
Street (Hwy 101 at 16th Street) in
Port Orford.
The Port Orford office, the
companion office to the
permanent Curry County
Democrats Headquarters in
Brookings, is now open six days
each week with office hours
Monday through Saturday from
noon until 4PM. This office,
serving the Democrats of northern
Curry County will remain open
through the November election.
Residents and visitors to the area
are encouraged to drop by the Port
Orford office for bumper stickers,
campaign buttons, literature, yard
signs and the latest insider news.
