ATTRACTIONS
THE ART OF A GOOD TIME
There’s always fun brewing in the
Stevens Point area. Home to the
two wineries and a distillery. These
craft businesses host fun events
throughout the year.
In March, lace up your shoes for the
Stevens Point Brewery. This popular
5-mile race draws 2,000 competitors
and features a big post-race party.
In April, the Boomin’ Brewery Bash
brings music, environmentalism and
delicious beer to the Central Waters
Brewing Company in Amherst.
COMMUNITY
RESOURCES
The Stevens Point area is
located in the heart of
Wisconsin, at the crossroads
of the Wisconsin
River Valley and the
Central Sands Region.
Stevens Point
When Stevens Point was founded in 1858, this was
a community of loggers, fur traders and brewers. The
community is still known for its outstanding beer and
so much more: companies such as Delta Dental,
Sentry Insurance, Travel Guard and Herrschners all
call this place home. The University of Wisconsin–
Stevens Point is one of the community’s treasures.
